Memish, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Course Objectives The course will provide an update on current infectious diseases in the Mediterranean and the Middle East with emphasis on viral, bacterial and parasitic infections with changing epidemiology, diagnosis and management. Viral infections will include the spread of the novel Coro- navirus and the avian influenza H5N1 and CCHF. The problems of multiresistant bacteria will be covered both from management and hospital infection control per- spectives, and molecular surveillance will be reviewed. Registration FeeEUR 850 for ESCMID members or members of THD/EKMUD/TCMEUR 950 for all others

The fee includes the tuition, hotel accommodation for three nights, lunches, morning and afternoon coffee breaks and two dinners. Travel is not included.

Attendance GrantsESCMID provides a number of attendance grants for ESCMID “young scientist members”. The grant covers the registration fee. Travel is not included. Please apply via the ESCMID website at www.escmid.org/education before 20 June 2014. Applicants will be informed about their acceptance by 4 July 2014.

CME AccreditationThe organisers of the course will apply for European CME accreditation through EACCME.
