What do we see on television these days? What do we read in newspapers early morning? Media plays a mediator role between the people of

the nation and the government But don’t we feel a total disconnect between the

media and the mass reality? The media, along with art and literature, must help

the people in their struggle against poverty, unemployment, and other social evils in contemporary India
