Application Development is happy to help you with problems that may be solved through computer technology. This may include:

Application Development provides assistance for web pages, web sites, and web applications. These services include:

The Support Desk
• The technicians can help you with questions related to• supported software products• troubleshooting equipment problems• network connectivity issues.
• Full service is available 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Mon-Fri. Extended telephone service is available until 8:00 pm most week-day evenings

On-site Desktop Services
In cases where on-site troubleshooting or hardware and software installation is required, our technicians will come to your office. This service is available for:
• on-campus offices• USF/HSC offices in designated remote
locations (e.g. Davis Island)
On-campus response time for problem and troubleshooting calls is generally within 8 business hours. Requests for hardware and software installations and for service at remote sites are handled on a slightly lower priority basis.

Multimedia Lab• The HSC multi-media lab is provided for the use of faculty, staff,
and students in preparing the following: – Presentations– web pages– instructional materials
• Support provides help for people who are new to the lab, or unfamiliar with a particular piece of hardware or software.
• Services available include:– Image scanning– Slide scanning (Creation of computer images from existing
slides)– Slide making (Creation of photographic slides from computer
images)– Video capture from tape and other sources

Consulting Services
• Support also provides consultation on equipment needs. This may include: – an evaluation of the current status of your
desktop computer equipment – a discussion about the types of work you do
and the applications that you use– recommendations of hardware and software
