Bangalore Mass Rapid Transit Ltd. (BMRTL), is the implementing agency.

Project envisages a 33km elevated and underground rail network with 32 stations for Phase 1.

A specifically delineated duty free enclave and shall be deemed to be foreign territory for the purposes of trade operations and duties and tariffs.

JLR proposes to develop about 10 new eco–tourism destinations with themes like water sports, trekking, fishing, hang – gliding etc.

The proposal envisages development of these projects either as a management arrangements or on long-term BOT concessions.
