    2. En inglés los colores, usados como sustantivos, NUNCA están precedidos por el

    artículo definido the. Veamos: Red is a beautiful color, El rojo es un color hermoso;

Green is my favorite color, El verde es mi color preferido.

Ej.: light purple, violeta claro; dark

    purple, violeta oscuro.

What colour is …………………..? What colour are …………………..?

The car ………………… The dog’s house …………. The curtains ………….

The pencil ………………… The book ………………… The table …………………

The bathing suit ……………… The jeans ……………… The shoes ………………

The pajamas ……………… The bananas ……………… The apples ………………

    The time

    What time is it?It's five o'clock in themorning. It's 5:00 a.m.

    It's seven o'clockin the morning.

    It's 7:00 a.m.

    It's twelve o'clock.It's noon.

    It's 12:00 noon.

    It's four o'clockin the afternoon.

    It's 4:00 p.m.

    It's seven o'clockin the evening.

    It's 7:00 p.m.

    It's twelve o'clockat night. It's midnight.

    It's 12:00 midnight.

    a quarter to (menos cuarto).

in the afternoon". 17:30 se diría "half past five in the afternoon" y para indicar 23:00se prefiere "eleven o'clock in the evening".

Ej: Come

home at 08:00 am (Ven a casa a las 8 de la mañana); Come home at 07:56 pm (Ven a

Ej: Come home at three o'clock in the afternoon (Come home at 3

pm o'clock in the afternoon ).
