INTRODUCTION OF 3-BIN WASTE SYSTEM

• October 2007 CEX engaged Handybin to provide services for the 3-bin system.

• Reasons for revising services: To improve safe

operating procedures To minimise costs To increase recycling

and enhance benefits to our community

3-Bin System

3-bin system includes:

Organics (food waste and soiled paper);

Mixed Recyclables; Garbage and; Cardboard collection

BENEFITS OF 3-BIN SYSTEM

• Reduced OH&S issues regarding the movement of waste

• Cost savings on

waste disposal

• Environmental benefits through increased recycling

Outcomes

• 84% of RSL waste is now composted or recycled.

• Approximate reduction of 1.6 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per week.

• This comprehensive waste system is helping the Club lead the way in waste management within the industry.
