• The age at which a girl will begin puberty does vary from one person to another.

• Girls can begin puberty as early as 9 years old and, depending on circumstances and individuality, begin much later when in their teens (though this is rare)

rate that you cannot control)o Feeling out of control – again you can’t help what’s happening to you,

you just have to ride the wave.

• Energy changeso More energy and then suddenly no energy

SLEEP!!!!!

• Sleep is incredibly important to a growing boy or girl.• Sleep and School-aged Children (6-13 years)

o Children aged six to 13 need 9-11 hours of sleep. o At the same time, there is an increasing demand on their time from school

(e.g., homework), sports and other extracurricular and social activities. o In addition, school-aged children become more interested in TV, computers,

the media and Internet as well as caffeine products – all of which can lead to difficulty falling asleep, nightmares and disruptions to their sleep.

o In particular, watching TV close to bedtime has been associated with bedtime resistance, difficulty falling asleep, anxiety around sleep and sleeping

• 9-11 hours…………………..just saying :0)
