There are a number of resources available in Eastern Utah to

assist you in legal questions. At the Seventh District Court, there is now a Self-Help Center (SHC) which provides free legal help to people who do not have a lawyer.

The Self-Help Center provides information to help you understand your rights and responsibilities, and to help you resolve your legal problems on your own if you cannot afford an attorney or if you choose not to hire one.

Self-help attorneys can:

• Answer questions about the law, court process and options

• Provide court forms and instructions and help completing forms

• Provide information about your case

• Provide information about mediation services, legal advice

and representation through pro bono and low cost legal services, legal aid programs and lawyer referral services

• Provide information about resources provided by law libraries.

A few cautions:

• The SHC cannot give you legal advice or represent you in court

• The SHC attorney is not your lawyer

The Self- Help Center Services page provides information and forms for many kinds of cases.

As part of their long standing tradition, Wells Fargo Bank presented their 2013 Pony, Shamrock, to Active Re-Entry, this year's chosen charity. Shamrock is an important part of the Wells Fargo legacy. Shamrock was part of the St. Louis team of horses in the early 1900's and was known as one of the biggest, strongest horses to ever pull a Wells Fargo wagon. Thank you to Price Bank Manager Carrie Robertson for the donation and to SueAnn Martell for nominating ARECIL to receive this year's pony.

Questions about

Guardianship?

There are a wide range of topics

and numerous resources through the following website. For example, the topic of the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) has been working with the Utah Courts, has been a program called WINGS (a Network of Guardianship Stakeholders) and the Office of Guardianship to provide better education to agency staff and clients on the Guardian process.

You can find out many answers to your questions about guardianship at:

www.utcourts.gov/howto/family
