Installing small telecommunication masts on Council bulidings

This leaflet provides guidance about applying to install a small telecommunication mast on a council building.

If you are interested in installing a mast or any other telecommunication device on a council building, you need to contact our City Development Service at:

What do I need to include with my application? You will need to send us a written application which should include the following details:-• the size of the mast,• Why you need the mast• How long you will need the mast• A photograph of the equipment you want to install and the

approximate location on the building • A photograph and a drawing of the approximate location and address

of the mast

What happens next?We will carry out a full assessment of your application. We will consider whether we will agree to your request.

If our assessment is successful then you will receive a detailed letter that will include any requirements that you will need to meet.

If we cannot give our consent to erect a mast we will write to you providing a full explanation for our refusal.

How long will it take to reach a decision?

What can I do if I am unhappy with your decision?If we turn down your application and you are unhappy with our decision you will need to let us know through our complaints procedure.
