Talk Outline:

I. Introduction:

Lets call our worship leader, Brother

(Sing the Opening Song: AS WE GATHER)(Members go around greeting their brothers and sisters)

Brothers and sisters, todays worship, is going to be different. I want us to learn together why we worship and how do we worship.

To all the Brothers, it is our privilege to lead everyone in worshipping the Lord.

WHY? -- Its because God anointed us to lead not only in this community but also our whole family as the CHURCH OF THE HOME closer to God as fathers, and for the SFC and YFC as would be fathers someday.

But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:3

There are different types of prayers (meditation, contemplation, mass, silent prayer), and they have their different ways of doing that prayer (be silent, meditate, put yourself into the story), but for us as a community in Couples For Christ we have a gift of prayer, that is WORSHIP. It starts with an exhortation which can either be a personal sharing, a story or a bible verse that is not long but will inspire us to focus on God and acknowledge His greatness in our lives.

II. Exhortation

(Exhortation proper but should be short)

Brothers and sisters let us all experience a foretaste of heaven with God, here on earth. Let us appreciate worship through CFC that taught us. Are you ready to worship the Lord?

Sign of the cross -- In the Name of the FatherSpontaneous Praising

(Extended intro of 1st Fast Song: MIGHTY KING OF ZION)

Why do we make the sign of the cross?-- By making the sign of the cross, we proclaim our Faith that we are saved by Christs dying on the cross that we might dwell with Him in His Kingdom forever. It is a simple prayer to Him, saying, Lord I give you my mind. Lord, I give You my Heart and my love. Lord, I give You all of my good thoughts, actions and behavior. Lord, forgive me of all my sins.

Why is praising God important? -- Because God deserves to be praised and He is worthy to receive our praise:"You are worthy, our LORD and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being" (Revelation 4:11).

III. 1st Praising Song

Spontaneous Praising

(Singing the 1st Fast Song: MIGHTY KING OF ZION )

We sing God's praises because he tells us to-- can it be that it is a deeper and more passionate way of praising our God diba singing is praying twice?

In the Psalms, God tells us over and over that he wants to hear us singing about him and how wonderful he is:

Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. Psalm 100:1-2

Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His Name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders. Glory in His holy name Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad. Psalm 105:1-3

Praising God is good and useful for us. By praising God, we are reminded of the greatness of God! By it, we will understand His power and presence in our lives:

"Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant" (Psalm 135:3).

Spontaneous Praising

IV. 2nd Praising Song

2 Chronicles 5:13-14 says:"The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: 'He is good; his love endures forever.' Then the temple of the LORD was filled with a cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God."

Praising God transforms this world into heavenly world. Whatever experience we may have right now, its the Lord transforming us and transforming this world.

(Singing the 2nd Fast Song: WORSHIP THE LORD/HOSANNA)

Spontaneous PraisingV. Worship Song

(Extended intro of Slow Song: LORD JESUS WE ENTHRONE YOU)

Singing is not about perfect harmony. It is about playing the instrument of our heart in praise to God. It is an expression of our heart's deepest devotion toward the One who created us and saved us. We make our songs a prayer to Him, as we sing this song brothers and sisters as St. Augustine says, He who sings, prays twice. We raise our hands as a sign of surrendering to God who is our maker, for He is God and we are no. -- So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. (Psalms 63:4)

Brothers and sisters with full conviction and sincerity let us ENTHRONE JESUS IN HEARTS, IN OUR MINDS, IN OUR WHOLE BEING

(Singing the Slow Song: LORD JESUS WE ENTHRONE YOU)

VI. Singing In Tongues

(Extended Instrumental of Slow Song)

Singing In Tongues

(While we sing in tongues)

God knows the limitations of our minds in worshipping Him with our intellect. Thus, He has given us the supernatural ability to worship Him in the Spirit by praying in tongues: For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries.(1 Cor. 14:2)

The Holy Spirit inspires our utterance in tongues with effective intercession. It is prayer in the Spirit which cannot be uttered in clear speech but consists of inspired utterance from the Spirit through us to God on our behalf.

When we pray in tongues it is a prayer that comes from the deepest core of our hearts, something that we ourselves are not aware but only God can understand fully what it means: In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. (Romans 8:26-27)

Singing In Tongues (Chorus of Slow Song towards ending) Singing In Tongues

VII. Gods words Prophetic messages

(As Singing in Tongues fades until everybody comes into Sacred Silence)

During our worship the Lord wants to speak to us. He will not speak in the most spectacular way but in a tiny whispering sound (1 Kings 19:12). It is Gods message for us.

In prophesies, we will be able to understand what the Lord is trying to say to us: Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.(1 Cor. 14:5)

(Complete silence)

Brothers and sisters if God has a message feel free to share it

SPEAK LORD, YOUR SERVANTS ARE LISTENING!!!VIII. Thanksgiving To God

(Thank God for all the blessings received)

David regularly expressed his thanks and praise to the King of Kings. The book of Psalms contains his praise and thanksgiving to the Lord: It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your loving kindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night, (Psalm 92:1-2).

It is fitting and proper to thank the Lord for blessings undeserved for us because we all fall short in the glory of God. In thanking the Lord, we will be able to count our blessings and then we realize that they outnumber the problems. We stand in awe before Him who is the maker and giver of things.

Let our response be: LORD, WE PRAISE AND THANK YOU.

IX. Liftingup Of Concerns

(Pray for our concerns)

We believe that when two or more are gathered in His Name, the Lord will be in our midst and will hear our prayers: "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." (Matthew 18:19-20)

Even if the Lord knows our desires already, He wants us to be in His presence more often and communicate to Him: Until now you have not asked anything in my Name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. (John 16:24)

Let our response be: LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYERS

We look to Jesus, as our greatest intercessor. We allow Him to work in our behalf for He is now in the right hand of the Father praying and interceding for us. And so we say: All these things we ask, In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

The complete prayer, the very prayer that Jesus Himself taught us -- Our Father

We ask Mary, our mother, for her constant intercession and to give us her mantle of protection -- Hail Mary

We give all the glory and honor to the Holy Trinity: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit -- Glory be

Sign of the Cross -- In the Name of the Father

Closing Song: EMBRACE
