Outcome: Delivery of programs designed for young people With the LPCE Team, develop workshops and programs relevant to Deaf and hard of hearing young people

Indicative time 40%

Performance Indicators Compile a report that recommends how Vicdeaf can address these gaps In collaboration with other staff, deliver programs such as "Deaf Share" or "Transitions" workshops Work with relevant teams within Vicdeaf to improve knowledge and confidence amongst young Deaf and hard of hearing people - in particular employment

services and the NDIS Work with mainstream and youth-specific services to ensure they are accessible for young Deaf and hard of hearing people and identify potential partners Develop online strategies to enable young Deaf and hard of hearing people to access relevant information and to engage with Vicdeaf services, events and

programs In conjuction with other teams, deliver information sessions to young Deaf and hard of hearing people, parents and schools Provide advice and input to Vicdeaf services, programs and events to ensure they cater for young people

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (critical for successful performance in the role) (Examples include: Depth of experience i.e. extensive knowledge and experience in X, gained through substantial previous practice in Y; Breadth of experience i.e. experience in integrated advice/services across a full range of programs or across the organisation Context i.e. experience gained within a particular context or sector – understanding and experience in managing X or providing advice in Y)

Proficiency in Auslan Connection to and understanding of Deaf and hard of hearing young people Some project management expierence Experience with social, online and video media platforms Effective time management skills Report writing skills Positive "can do" attitude Ability to take directions Ability to form positive connections with others internally and externally Ability to consult (ask the opnions of) people from different backgrounds

Qualifications / Certifications / Memberships (essential to the role) (Examples include relevant qualification, membership of professional body, NAATI certification, Driver’s License, Working with Children Check, First Aid certificate)
