Design can be found everywhere: in the products we use, the containers that protect food, in the spaces we inhabit, in the languages of communication with which we interact, and even in the services that we use on a daily basis. Today, design is transversely part of everything, and there are many industries and economic sectors that generate value through working with design professionals.

The School of Design trains design specialists who, through strong international links and a vision of social innovation, can achieve their full development.

Duoc UC oers a Support Program for International Students called Duoc Exchange Network led by Duoc students , with the purpose of providing guidance and help in the academic and the socio-cualtural environments.

This Program includes:

Tutors: Also known as guiding students or buddy partners. They are Chilean students from Duoc UC that guide international students through their academic semester or year in Chile, helping them to be able to adapt to Chilean culture. Some of them have already experienced an academic exchange or are about to do it.

Trips and Activities: Duoc UC’s Coordinators of International Aairs are constantly organizing tours and activities for

international students, like Chilean cuisine workshops, cueca workshops (national dance), tours around the city, trips to the snow, to the beach, and many activities more.

Support from the oce of International Aairs: The Coordinators advise international students on matters like: obtaining the Chilean ID card, health insurance, lodging, VISAS, among others. It is important that you take into account that a Students VISA does not allow you to work in Chile.

Duoc UC has a department named “Student Aairs”, from where Chilean and international students can choose dierent recreational activities like the Pastoral, sports, extra workshops, etc.
