Proper Joint FunctionIf there is a problem with the TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint), it may lead to serious problems, like overstrain of facial muscles, teeth ero-sion, gum recession or even respiratory problems like Sleep Obstructive Apnea. For a healthy function, man-dibular joint has to be properly aligned.

Functional OcclusionThe relationship between the maxillary (upper) and mandibular (lower) teeth when they approach each other is called occlusion. In case of problems, it may cause headaches, teeth erosion, loss of teeth, gum recession or bruxism among many other things. The goal is to provide a proper function and bite.

Anterior GuidanceThe shape of frontal teeth is evaluated and they are care-fully placed in order to get a proper bite.

Facial AestheticsThis principle evaluates facial proportions such as lips, gums and teeth and it makes sure everything is properly aligned.

San Sebastián is a visually beautiful city. The enchanting Bay of La Concha leaves an indelible mark on anyone who sets eyes on it.

The city is easily accessible on foot. Its streets and walkways invite to be discovered either on foot or by bicycle. There are many pedestrianized zones, parks, gardens, and a beautiful walkway along the Urumea River, exactly where the Osteoplac Conference Centre is located. The city is in a strategic location in Spain, on the easternmost point of Cantabrian coast.

San Sebastián is very easily accessible by air and by rail. It has its own airport for domestic

flights and is located only one hour from Bilbao Airport and 30 minutes from Biarritz Airport in France (with international connections). There are direct trains to San Sebastián from Madrid and Barcelona, and one can easily make a connection to the TGV from Hendaya (20km away from San Sebastián) to Paris.

Likewise, San Sebastian is the scene of much world-renowned gastronomic innovation and as such a destination that will delight the senses. The region has various Michelin-starred restaurants. Visitors are consistently thrilled by the “new Basque cuisine” and famous “pintxos” (tapas).

Parma is an elegant city where reigns a refined atmosphere that can only be breathed in a ‘petite capitale’. With its centre rich of art, parks and treasures from different ages, it is a very welcoming place, able to hold tourists and citizens with its manners.

Yet Parma is not only the city itself, the monuments or the tradition in music and culture: Parma also includes the province, a territory of infinite funds, a varied landscape that stretches from the Po river to the Appenines’ crest, with small villages rich of history and liveliness, castles, medieval parish churches and theatres spread in the countryside.

The Bassa area is a vast territory on the shore of the Po river, which inspired artists like Bernardo Bertolucci and Giovannino Guareschi with its fogs and the quarrelsome character of its inhabitants. The Culatello roads runs through these villages, also renowned for the production of the Spalla cotta, the Fortana wine and, last but not least, the Parmigiano Cheese.

Many activities are also possible in the countryside, itineraries on mountain bike, horseback riding, hiking, discovering ancient monuments and small villages or just relaxing in the beautiful frame of the Appennines mountains, from the south of the Via Emilia to the highlands at the border with Liguria and Toscana.
