On my first day of class, I was really afraid because I thought my English level was not good. However, as days passed, studying at Stanley College became fun. My teachers and friends made the school a happy place. If I did not understand something, they would teach me. While living in Perth, I had to speak English everyday which helped in improving my language skill. I also enjoyed making many new friends from different countries, which I had the opportunity to learn about their cultures and lifestyles.

I couldn’t imagine that studying business could be so interesting! The practical assessments and class activities made learning so easy. As an international student, I was a bit scared in the beginning about fitting in with the local students but the trainer made it much easier by encouraging us to communicate through games and questionnaires. Studying at Stanley College was such a good experience!

While studying at Stanley College, I have made lots of good friends from South Korea and we have built strong relationships with both our classmates and trainers. My trainer has been very helpful and insightful and we have learnt a lot from her classes. She has always made lessons very interactive. She also organised outings to hospitality exhibitions and workshops to expose us to the hospitality industry. The management techniques and knowledge learnt at Stanley College has helped me apply them in my job and I managed to get a 457 visa sponsorship at a Korean restaurant as a Restaurant Manager. I have been working at the restaurant for the past 6 months and I really enjoy working there!

Juyun Wu, South Korea, Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) & Diploma of Hospitality

With the leadership structure provided by the trainers, my practical and theoretical knowledge in Commercial Cookery has increased. My trainers are very helpful and friendly. They have good communication skills when it comes to interacting with international students. Stanley College has a professional kitchen which has provided me with a great opportunity to build my career in the hospitality industry. My dream is to become the most competent Brazilian chef in Australia and Stanley College has provided me with the necessary support to achieve my goal!

My experience at Stanley College had exceeded my expectations! Stanley College has excellent trainers who are kind, helpful and always there to help me improve my knowledge. The trainers will get to know you and you can count on them to answer your questions and share their thoughts about life and experiences. My trainer was the key to my success in the completion of my course and I can say that she is now a good friend of mine. Without a family here in Australia, Stanley College was like a second home to me as when we had problems, they helped us. When I broke my collarbone, Stanley College helped me with this and I thank them for that. I would recommend Stanley College to everyone that wants to grow their knowledge. While I was enrolled at Stanley College, I was looking for sponsorship. I started to work at The Windsor and I was so happy to get my 457 visa eventually. Never give up on your dreams and desires! Thank you Stanley College and their awesome staff!

After being with Stanley College for almost 2 years, there has been a lot of positive changes in my life.
