▶Publication•All presentations in IUMRS-ICA 2014 are invited to submit papers in Transactions of the
Materials Research Society of Japan as regular papers or review papers.•Publication fee for a standard-length paper up to 4 pages is 25,000yen.•For invited talk, publication fee for a standard-length paper up to 6 pages is 25,000yen.

★ Young Scientist Awards in IUMRS-ICA2014 Young Scientist Awards in IUMRS-ICA2014, consisting of gold, silver and bronze awards, are intended to honor and encourage outstanding young scientists whose academic achievements and current research works demonstrate a high level of excellence and distinction. The IUMRS-ICA2014 committees seek to recognize young scientists with outstanding and exceptional abilities showing great potentials toward signi�cant future progress in a variety of research �elds, which are widely covered in IUMRS-ICA2014. • Gold Award : A certi�cate of the Award and 300 USD, Silver award : A certi�cate of the Award, Bronze award : A certi�cate of the Award • Approximately 2 gold-award winners, 3 silver-award winners and 5 bronze-award winners may be selected in this conference.
★ Award for Encouragement of Research in IUMRS-ICA2014Award for Encouragement of Research in IUMRS-ICA2014 is intended to honor young researchers who have delivered excellent presentations (oral or poster presentation) in IUMRS-ICA2014 for encouragement of future progress of the award winners.

Rules and Eligibility1. The nominee shall not have reached his or her 40th birthday on or before August 24th, 2014.2. The nominee must submit the documents [curriculum vitae (CV) including the date of birth,
extended abstract in accordance with the template for the award nomination and so on], which are to be announced on the web page of IUMRS-ICA2014. The deadline for the application is at 12:00 JST on February 5th, 2014.
3. The documents submitted by the nominees are to be reviewed by referees. The referees will select eligible candidates as �nalists, who shall be asked to participate and deliver their presentations in the "Finalist Session for Young Scientist Awards" to be held on August 26th, 2014.

For solving the environmental problems arisen from the exponential development of industries especially in the Asian region, IUMRS-ICA 2014 aims to establish close relationships between the researchers developing the advanced materials and those seeking for the sustainable society, who have got no chance to be acquainted with each other.
