Museum of Croydon staff and local community groups have been using their skills topart in 100 Banners. 100 Banners, created by groups from across London and inspired by the original women’s suffrage banner collection, will be displayed at the March4Women event on Sunday 4 March and the Royal Albert Hall on International Women’s Day 8 March to mark 100 years of the Representation of the People Act.

Register to march at www.careinternational.org.uk/march4women or join in the festivities, including music and poetry, at Trafalgar Square in the afternoon.

Watch great films like Hidden Figures and Made In Dagenham. These are both based on true stories that highlight discrimination in the workplace.

Ask a child to draw a scientist or ballerina to help tackle gender stereotypes that we know exist at a young age. Enforce in children they can become whoever they want to be.

Discussion: Should Northern Ireland’s abortion legislation be changed? What can be done to prevent female genital mutilation? How is the menopause treated in the workplace?
