The following Charter School Chevron Reports are attached for your review.

The Charter School Chevron Report is based on the Charter School Comprehensive Performance

Framework (CSCPF). The framework was created through the Board Accountability Committee and

adopted by the School Board on July 11, 2018 as a charter monitoring tool. The Board Accountability

Committee worked on the instrument from November 2017 to April 2018.

A total of seven domains have been identified for monitoring school board approved charter schools.

• Academic Performance – Indicators include state and federal accountability requirements

• Academic Performance – Indicators include local comparison scores of similar grade bands

• Learning Environment – Indicators include state and federal support services, program

requirements, innovative programs, Georgia standards, student and staff safety, and charter

school climate

• Financial Management – Indicators include independent audit, fund balance, procurement rules,

enrollment, and financial reports

• Human Resource Management – Indicators include employee qualification, evaluations, rights,

and background checks

• Operational Performance - Indicators include local, state, and federal reports, student records,

admission process, student rights, and school lunch program

• Board Governance - Indicators include governance oversight of charter, open meeting laws,

governance training, and meeting state/local obligations

The Chevron Reports are one-page reports that provide critical information on the status of local

charters and help to support the requirements of SBR 160-4-9-.06 as the charter authorizer. The

attached reports have been shared with the charter schools for review and feedback.
