KEVIN VOICES FARM CONCERN
Any development at Brookwood Farm must be accompanied by assurances that local infrastructure will be upgraded to cope with the extra houses.
That is the message from Brookwood Conservative candidate Kevin Davis as he pledged to come down on the side of residents rather than developers over the scheme.
“I am concerned that the proposed development should not degrade the quality of life in the village, he said.
“As well as being a council candidate, I am a Brookwood resident as well,” said Kevin. “I don’t want the pleasure of living here to be blighted and I will fight for road and service improvements so that we can
all continue to enjoy life in Brookwood.
“I won’t make promises I cannot keep — but I’ll certainly do my very best on your behalf.”

KEVIN HAS RECORD OF COMMUNITY ACTION Conservative candidate Kevin Davis has a record of action in Brookwood.
A long-time resident, he is involved in Scouting and the Royal British Legion in the village, as well as helping restore the village telephone box and other projects.
Retiring Brookwood councillor Glynis Preshaw said: “Kevin cares passionately about local issues, He will make an excellent councillor and I hope residents will vote for him on May 3.” Kevin helps open the restored phone box

Kevin is concerned about traffic management on the A322, particularly in light of the proposed development at Brookwood Farm. He is working with county councillor Linda Kemeny to see what options there are for improving the flow of traffic and safety of all road users at Brookwood crossroads.
ACTION AROUND BROOKWOOD
Brookwood Station and the convenience of its connection to London is one of the reasons that Kevin moved to Brookwood. He is concerned that insufficient parking at the station often means Brookwood residents lose out while others from further are parking and he will seek to increase parking capacity at the station.

CONSERVATIVE SAYS NEW HOUSES NEED ACCESS TO SERVICES
TACKLING DOG FOULING
Woking Conservatives have given their backing to a campaign that seeks to stop dog fouling and make the streets and play areas of our borough more pleasant.
Residents of Knaphill presented a 279-signature petition to Woking’s Conservative-run executive committee in March and the committee has agreed to support a pilot scheme in the village that will look at ways of tackling the problem.
If successful, Woking
Conservatives has pledged in its 2012 manifesto to roll out the campaign to other areas, including Brookwood.
Conservative candidate for Brookwood Kevin Davis said: “Dog fouling is a problem in Brookwood, particularly along the canal and some of the main roads.
“The campaign that is being piloted in Knaphill will highlight the issue more and increase the reporting of incidents. I hope that we will see the campaign in Brookwood very soon too.”
BASINGSTOKE CANAL PROGRESS BEING MADE As a lengthsman for the Basingstoke Canal, Conservative candidate Kevin Davis is delighted at the prospect of working with Brookwood County Councillor Linda Kemeny, who is Chairman of the Basingstoke Canal Joint Management Committee.
Kevin and Linda were delighted to see the first boat rally in Brookwood for nearly two years during the Easter weekend, following a £1.6m investment from Surrey and Hampshire County Councils.
“It’s really good to see boats back on the canal at Brookwood,” said Kevin.

Woking Conservatives has launched its 2012 local election manifesto, setting out its vision for the borough, making six key pledges to the voters of Woking and reporting on how its 2011 pledges have been delivered.
For the third year in a row, the party has issued a manifesto, which it believes makes local politics more accountable.
The update on pledges from 2011 includes the freeze of Woking’s share of Council Tax, the achievement of a 60% recycling figure in the last quarter of 2011 and the redevelopment of Woking Town Square.
Cllr John Kingsbury, Leader of Woking Borough Council, said: “This is a manifesto that builds on our achievements.
