• In March 2013 Professional body registration by SAQA (under

the NQF Act)

• Registration of designations:

• Certified Associate of the Institute of Bankers (CAIB (SA))

• SAQA Designation ID: 473

• Fellow of the Institute of Bankers (FIBSA)

• SAQA Designation ID: 474

• Submission of the change in directors and the MOI to CIPC

• MOI (2012) based on value proposition prior to professional body status

IOB focus 2013/2014

The following key areas will be focussed on:

• Appoint a CEO

– (management of Marketing & Communications, Risk & Compliance)

• Appoint a head of the Academic Department

• Finance has been and will continue to be outsourced, with accountability to the CEO

• Operations - develop policies and procedures for the Institute

• Projects will be established to:

– Upload members results on the NLRD- imperative for FAIS compliance

– Develop the high level CPD program

– Registration of three (3) additional designations

– Organise and run a ‘Banking in Africa’ conference for the AAIOB

• Host the AAIOB AGM in September 2014
