WhatisIOSTK? IOSTK: It is an international organization of instructors, coaches andkaratepractitionersfromdifferentstyles,ranksandorganizations.

IOSTK: It isanorganizationcompletly independentof sport federations,affiliations,organizationsandstyles.

IOSTK:Mainpurposeisdevelopmentofkarateinallitsaspects. IOSTK: It was created as a result of the needs of coaches, athletes,instructors and students to give and receive information, shareknowledge, exchange experiences, collaborate, advise and supportprojectsinthegrowthofkarate.

WhatisIOSTK’smission?For a long time I have been receiving inquiries fromkarate practitioners,athletesandinstructorswhorequestinformationfrommeandothersaboutthedifferentaspectsofkarate.

Whoareseekinginformationonthesportsandtraditionaltraining,suchasworkingorimprovinglegtechniques,speed,howtotrainwiththemakiwara,ontrainingkataforcompetition,onkumitetrainingandstrategies,aswellasspecial forces self-defense, data on the historical aspects of the art andtechnicalinformationonspecificstyles.

IanswerasmanyquestionsasIcan,thebestthatIcan,butinsomecases,Ihesitate toansweras I amnot completely sureof theansweror it is inanáreathatIamnotfullyknowledgable.

Theneedtofeelsurroundedbyagroupofpeoplewiththesamephilosophyand interests makes many of us approach social networks to convey ourneeds,desiresandconcerns.

IOSTKLogoThe logo that identifies theorganization IOSTK, is composedofa red

circle representing the globe and the rising sun, and as a basis and kanjisymbol,KIZUNAmeaning"union"and"ties".Thiskanjihasbeenawardedasthe most representative of the Year 2011 by the Japanese people forcollaborationaroundtheworldasaresultof thecatastrophethatoccurredasaresultofthetsunamiinJapan.TheJapanesepeoplefoundthecourageinthe collaboration between family and friends as well as among strangersfromdifferentcountries.

Theyearofbirthofourorganizationcoincideswiththechallengesoftheyear2011andthehistoricaltiesthatuniteKarateandJapan.Thiskanjirepresents the spirit of IOSTK prefectly. This logo best represents thefriendshipandcollaborationbetweenandamongourfellowkarate-ka.

IOSTKmemberrequirements

TheIOSTKorganizationcommitsitselftoallitsmemberstoshareknowledge,exchangeexperiences,collaborate,adviseandsupporttheirpro-karateprojects.

IOSTKinturnrequestseachofthemembersdisplayacommitmenttocollaboratewitheachofthecomponentsandwiththeorganizationitself,creatingachainofteamworkthatwillhelpthetechnicalandprofessionaldevelopmentofeachofitsmembers.Weshouldneverforgetthatthesecrettooursuccessasanorganizationisbasedonthekanjithatrepresentsus(kizuna)whosemeaningisties,union,collaboration,andtheIOSTKspirit.

AsaguidetoallmembersofIOSTKwerecommendsomeprotocols:

PlacementoftheIOSTKlogo,inthekamizaofourdojo,withwhichanypractitionerwhovisitsus,orseesaphotoorvideo of our training will identify us as members of ourorganization. Placement of our IOSTK certification plate, withregistration number in a visible area of the entrance of ourdojo. This will identify us immediately to other IOSTKmembersandserveasasealofqualityandbrandimage. Inclusion of the IOSTK logo in all events, competitions,courses or activities that IOSTK trainers or dojos organize,andinwhichitispossibletocollaborate.

The communication of our events (Seminars,competitions, tests or promotions of rank, demonstrations,etc.) to the management of IOSTK, is advantageous, as theactivity will be communicated throughout the organizationthrough social networking, media converage and word ofmouth,thiscreatinganimageofdevelopmentandpromotionofkarate,ourdojosandourinstructors.

Receive and invite to participate in the training to anyactive member of IOSTK, upon presentation of identifyingcredentials. Maintaining the image of IOSTK, and acting as anambassador,maintainingitsvaluesinallplacesandmoments,this being the fundamental cause of maintaining or notbelonging to the organization, IOSTK, is proud to keep thevaluesofkarateasamissionoftheorganizationitself.
