The International Plasma and Fractionation Association (IPFA) is pleased to announce the fourth IPFA Asia Workshop on Plasma Quality and Supply. This workshop will build on the success of the meetings held in Taiwan in 2016, Indonesia in 2017 and Malaysia in 2018, which highlighted the importance of this topic for the region. These meetings attracted over 200 delegates from 30 countries.

a comprehensive range of topics This Workshop will identify and discuss key issues, strategies and opportunities to meet the increasing requirements for Plasma for Fractionation and essential plasma derived Medicinal Products in the Asia region. In collaboration with and hosted by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion Vietnam, a comprehensive range of topics will be addressed including:• Donor recruitment and selection• Screening and diagnostic programmes for blood-borne pathogens• GMP and Quality management for Plasma for Fractionation• Regulatory issues• Plasma fractionation options• Clinical developments in the use of Plasma Derivatives• Product supply strategies to reduce dependency on imported products

This fourth meeting will build on IPFA’s traditions of open and inclusive discussions between all stakeholders who may have an interest in and/or responsibility for meeting the increasing need for plasma derivatives in the Asia Region.
