The building known as the Co-op Education Centre has a long and interestinghistory. It is situated in Fore Street, one of the oldest roads in Ipswich.
Early records show the building was called ‘Chestnut House’, with parts of thebuilding dating back to the 18th Century. In its early life the building played arole in the medical care of the poor in Ipswich. Later it was used tohouse American servicemen during WWII.
The building is a 5 minute walk from Ipswich’s attractive harbour , which issurrounded by restaurants, coffee shops and retail outlets. The town centre isalso only a 5 minutes walk away, making it easy for students to walk to a widerange of attractions.

Ipswich School dates back to 1399 and has connections with King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I.
Ipswich is a fascinating mixture of an ancient port, a busy commercial centre and an attractive historic town. Its famous Christchurch Park, which hosts the annual music festival brings many visitors each summer.
Ipswich Summer Centre is located very close to the town centre making it easy for students to walk to a wide range of attractions.
Ipswich School is located directly opposite Christchurch Park. The park has won numerous awards and is recognised as one of the best parks in the UK.

Colchester Summer CentreEnglish Language Courses for Young Learners
Colchester is Britain’s oldest recorded town – over 2000 years old.
Colchester English Study Centre is our main Centre (CESC) and was established in 1969. CESC is a short walk from the centre of Colchester and only 15km from Mersea Island and the coast.
The town has a rich heritage and history – the Roman wall, the Norman castle and “Jumbo”, the Victorian water tower. It is also a vibrant, modern town with a wide variety of shops, cafes, theatres, art galleries and a cinema complex.
By living with one of our friendly and welcoming homestay providers, students will learn more about British life as well as improving their speaking and listening skills.
