Day 1SIBIU

Arrival by airplane, car pick up from the airport and transfer to Casa Luxembourg. Welcome brunch.

Relaxation time. Guided tour through the old citadel in the company of our friendly culture guide.

Dinner with lifejazz in Musik PUB.

Day 2HUNIAZI CASTLE

Calm morning. Brunch at Casa Luxembourg, depart by 5-6 passenger s.u.v. vehicles Hunedoara. We

visit the Huniazi Castle andenjoy medieval skills and craftsanimation of the Knights Order of

Hunedoara (sword competitions, archery workshops, medieval dance, etc). We meet local

personalities/craftsmen and have a medieval lunch followed by free time and shopping. Return to

Sibiu, have dinner and listen to central market life music.

Day 3 OCNASIBIULUI RESORT AND SPA

Breakfast at Casa Luxembourg, transfer by s.u.v. vehicles to Ocna Sibiului. Accommodation in

Ocna Sibiului Resort and Spa. Lunch, relaxed evening with balneal treatments and spa oroptional

activities, visit of Lake Mandra Reservation, etc; Return and have a relaxed evening with spa

treatments. Candle dinner.

Breakfast, explore Sighisoara in the company of our culturalguide, visit the Citadel, the Clock Tower, the Monastery

Church, some of the fourteen Guild Towers, and climb

the Scholars Stairs to reach the newly restored Church onthe Hill. Lunch, then free time, dinner at Frontius Residence

with medieval music and several sorts of wines.

Day 6CHURCHES OF BIERTAN, COPSA MARE, MALANCRAV AND WINE TASTING

Breakfast, Visit fortified Churches ofBiertan, Copsa Mare and Malancrav have a peasant lunch in

Casa Dornroschen in Biertan taste transilvanian wines of Jidvei in the village Valea Viilor ,

evening return to Sighisoara, free program, dinner with fire show in front of Buchers Tower

Day 7COUNT KALNOKY'STRANSYLVANIAN CASTLE

Drive to Miclosara and be welcomed at Count Kalnoky's Transylvanian Castle, here start

activities proposed by the domain, firstly take a stroll around the village, return and have

dinner in the cellar of the main house.

Day 8NATURE ACTIVITIES

Relaxed day (optional sites or events) follow a wide range of nature bound activities and excursions

on and around the property: Bear tracking ,Trout fishing, Horse&cart rides on the meadows, Wild

flower botany, Hiking, Mushroom picking, Village day, Discovering post-volcanic activity: fizzy

springs and gas exhausts, Butterflies, insects, reptiles, amphibians, birds... etc.

Day 9THE GORGE AND BAT CAVE

Visit The Gorge.Around 25 km north of Miklsvr is the Almas cave in the gorge of the Varghis river,

a system that continues for 7.3 km on four levels. This is one of Transylvanias most important

speleological sites. After traversing the river, we will enter and explore the cave, with its impressive

halls populated by colonies of bats (only in winter). Our guide will explain the history and unique

structure of the cave and the habits of these fascinating animals. For those interested in hiking, it is

possible to climb the summit and walk through wild flower meadows with panoramic views of the

gorge.

Day 10 VISCRI PRINCE OF WALES GUESTHOUSE AND

Day 11 BRASOV, HONIGBERG AND TARTLAU

On the way to Brasov, you will be able to visit the amazing fortified churches in Honigberg and

Prejmer and listen to a medieval guitar concert. These buildings are unique because they were used

to house the populations of entire villages during invasions by the Turks, and contain numerousstorerooms to hold a sufficient amount of food to survive a siege. Brasov City is one of the seven

major Transylvanian Saxon towns. Here you will find a plethora of architectural delight and lush

colors, which contrasts perfectly with the green wooded hills that surround it. In the company of our

cultural guide you will stroll around the beautiful Town Hall Square and visit the famous Black

Church with its display of 500 year-old carpets, take the cable car to the top of Tampa Hill and have a

coffee in the panoramic restaurant.

Day 12A CASTLE AND A FORT

Bram Stoker immortalized Transylvania in his book Dracula,

but he never actually visited the region. Castle Bran, which

has become synonymous with Count Dracula, towers

dramatically on a crag overlooking the village. Our culture

guide will help you to sort fact from fiction. There is also areconstructed village nearby with traditional barns and houses,

which provides an insight into rural life in medieval

Transylvania. After Bran, we will visit Rsnov, where a

ruined fort founded around 1225 by the Teutonic Knights, sits

high amongst fir-clad forests, commanding a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains.

Day 13 INN ON BALABAN STAY AND OPTIONAL TRIP TO RASNOV

From its splendid hilltop location, youll enjoy the Inns local home cooking, the best of Romanian

wines, and television-free quiet. In the Inns three hand-crafted houses, antique furniture, traditional

elegant peasant-styled architecture, and local folklore take you back to the heart of 'old' Romania.

Finally Enjoy Transylvania's dramatic and calming mountainscape beauty.Visit Rasnov spectacularmedieval citadel. Return to the Inn, relax and have dinner outside in the company of instrumental

music.

Day14 ST. ANNS VOLCANIC LAKE

After breakfast, we will drive through spectacular mountainous scenery to reach the summit of Mount

Csomad. Here you will discover St. Anns lake, the only intact volcanic lake in Europe. Our culture

guide will explain the legend of St. Ann and its association with the lake. You will also enjoy a picnic

at the lakeside. Then continue the journey to Bucharest and stay in Athenee Palace and end your

journey having dinner in Carul cu Bere.
