In short, the PGPBM curriculum trains ours t u d e n t s t o i m p r o v e t h e i rcompetitiveness while enhancing theiranalytical skil ls and emotionalintelligence.

Program:PGPBM is a full time two years autonomous programme.The programme is conducted under the trimestersystem with six trimesters spread over two academicyears.The first year lays the foundation in the fundamentals ofmanagement while the second year offers specializationin particular disciplines namely marketing and finance.This enables the students to have a holistic view of

business & apply this knowledge to simulated real lifesituations.The ISB&M PGPBM has key curriculum componentsguaranteed to make this stand apart from its peers. Aunique five month long summer internship program notonly allows the students to have more acquaintancewith real life business operations, and also greatlyenhances the possibility of Pre Placement Offers todeserving students.The program is designed to deliver a business curriculumthat develops in our students a holistic and integratedperspective of business while simultaneously giving

InternshipInternship is an integral component of theprogramme.Every student has to undergo aninternship in a top notch organisation for 20weeks. It essentially an on-job-training for whichthe students also earn a healthy stipend at the topmedia companies. During the course of 20-weeksthe students gain valuable insights while theorganization gets a complete sense of thestudent. The students come back to the campusenriched, & most of them, with a Pre-Placement-Offer.

ISB&M Kolkata is one of the very few colleges inthe country which offers extensive 5-monthsinternship. It essentially an on-job-training forwhich the students also earn a healthy stipend atthe top media companies. During the course of20-weeks the students gain valuable insightswhile the organization gets a complete sense ofthe student. The students come back to thecampus enriched, & most of them, with a Pre-Placement-Offer.

thIn the 6 trimester every student is required to

submit a dissertation is an internal part of thestudent's academics and therefore should be ofsufficient quality & importance. It's basically amini-research done under the guidance of a guidewho may be a faculty or an industry veteran.

Every ISB&M media student would be able toprepare his/her own portfolio which wouldcontain 3 ad films, 2 print advertisements & otherwork during their internship. It's a tangibledemonstration of the student's caliber.

Keeping the needs of the industry in mind themedia students have to study at least 30 coursesand undergo 10 workshops. The workshops areconducted by leading professionals from themedia industry. In the first year they learn aboutthe various fields of media & in the second yearthey focus on their area of specialization.

Media Curricula updated to industry needs withemphasis on holistic, 360 degree education wheretheory and its practical applications are wellbalanced giving students a flexible approach tolearning. At theend of the General Management Level, studentscan assess their learning need and decide to enrollfor Specialized Management Level. The Media Seminar aims at providing students a launch pad from wherethey can start their journey towards this ever expanding industry. Theseminar is an endeavor to direct world's attention to growthopportunities present today and what the future holds in store for mediaaspirants. Media Mind Prints intends to conduct the seminar to enlightenand widen the perception of people towards media. Diversified themeand subject ammeters would be picked up i.e "Are products merely slavesto advertising”.

Marketing Expo is an annual one-day marketing seminar organized withthe objective of providing our students with a platform to interact withthe practioners from the corporate world. The Marketing Expo wasinaugurated by Mr. Harish Bijoor, Founder CEO of Harish BijoorConsultants Inc. The discussed the brand and business strategy acrossthe markets of Hong Kong, USA, London, Dubai and the Indian sub-continent. The theme for the seminar was Peoples, Ideas and Challenges-The Road Ahead.

To develop and nurture an entrepreneur in every individual is the mainmotive behind E-week. The theme Go Green implied prosperity but alsosustainability and clean environment around everyone. The eventcomprised of: Photography, Logo Making, Collage Making, PosterMaking, Documentary Film-Making, Business Challenge and Green Quiz.Each event had special learning in them which in turn provides a goodexperience in developing skills, discovering, participating and organizingthe event.

Orientation Week for FreshersThe Orientation Week fosters and encourages adirect interaction with leaders of the industry.Each day has three or four speakers, all from theindustry, who, by sharing their views andexperiences with the students, empower them tofeel a part of the business world. The OrientationProgramme concludes with an overnightOutbound Trip, an excellent way for the professorsand students to get to know each other.

Discipline andCode of Conduct

· Carry Identity Card all the time.

· Switch off mobile phones in the classrooms, library, computer labs and in academic activities.· Maintain silence in the corridors - inside and outside the classrooms.· Attend all lectures, tutorials and extracurricular and cocurricular activities regularly.· Read notice board regularly.· Use library and computer labs during your free time.· Do not spoil and disfigure library books.· Avoid writing /scribbling on the walls, chairs and tables in the classrooms and labs.· Keep the campus neat and clean.· Cooperate with institute authorities in maintaining the lawns and gardens.· Switch off lights, fans and ACs while not in use.
