News from the Principal WELCOME BACK! Welcome to Term 4, 2015. Everyone has come back to school refreshed and eager to enjoy the many events, learning opportunities and fun activities. To be part of our school, and fully benefit from all activities, it is important that all students attend school every day. Unless your child is sick, they must, by law, be in attendance at school. If you wish to discuss any attendance matters, please contact me. THE SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER The School Photographer will be here next week on Thursday, 15th October. Envelopes for orders have been sent home today. You can pay the School Photographer online or enclose your payment in the order envelope. If you wish to order sibling photos, please see the office staff for a “sibling photographs” order envelope. Please return the order envelopes to school by Thursday, 15th October. Other News SPRING FAIR Just a reminder Spring Fair is on this Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Donations for the White Elephant stall can be brought into the office by Thursday 3:00pm. Donations for the cake stall can be delivered to the office on Friday or to the canteen on Saturday morning. Looking forward to seeing you there. Michelle Anthony, Community Liaison Officer FESTIVAL OF CHORAL MUSIC The countdown is on! In only 3 weeks, 8 of our Primary Choir students will be travelling to Sydney to perform alongside 700 other primary students in the Festival of Choral Music at the Sydney Opera House. The girls and their families have been fundraising throughout the year to

help cover costs, with two final events coming up.

1. Handmade quilt raffle – This beautifully hand stitched, patchwork quilt has been donated by Mr. Dunn’s generous mother-in-law. The girls will be selling tickets at our Spring Fair this Saturday, 10th October, with the winner being drawn at midday.

2. Mufti Day and Cake Stall – Next Tuesday, 13th October the girls will be holding another Mufti Day and Cake Stall. For a gold coin donation, students can come to school dressed in mufti. The theme is Spring. At recess, the girls will hold a cake stall with cakes, slices and biscuits available for between .50c and $1.00

Louise Wilson, organising teacher 3E CLASS REPORT WOW, TIME FLIES! Here we are in the last term at school already, so we felt it was good to be learning about time. This term, we will be learning about the 24 hour clock and take a quick look at time zones and why we have daylight savings time. We are excited to be back as there’s so much to learn and do!
