Our favourite story was the Gingerbread Man and we were able to taste and make our own gingerbread biscuits.

We have also been feeling festive and changed our role play area into a Post Office where we can work as hard as Santa’s elves, wrapping and sorting Christmas presents.

Each class demonstrated science-based activities, including a crime scene investigation and magnetic vehicles and visitors were shown round by Year 6 pupils. The children all behaved impeccably and were a brilliant advert for our school.

They all really enjoyed it; Freya Bishop (Silver Birch) said “ It was really funny” and Sally Herron (Silver Birch) said “my favourite part was when the children were remembering their own nativity play”.

Here are our choir members with the Catmose Primary ‘Values Tree’ which was displayed at the festival. Each child contributed to the decorating of the tree by making a decoration which displayed their class values along with their photograph. The tree was then used by Oakham Congregational Church as part of their Water Aid Festival. Many people have said how much they liked it and if you did not have an opportunity to see it, it is now in the school entrance.

It was a wonderful event with various stalls, games for the children, delicious refreshments and of course a very special visitor who was the main attraction. The total raised was approximately £650 and we would like to say thank you to all those who contributed for all their hard work.

We collect the money on behalf of Catmose College and it is their policy that all meals be paid for prior to being taken. We are afraid that if dinner money is not paid we will not be able to provide your child with a school meal next term.
