ITINERARY

DAY 1 (SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2019): JFK-ROME FLIGHT

Departure from JFK International Airport, NY to Rome, Italy in the evening

DAY 2 (MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2019): ROME

Upon arrival at the airport, your tour manager or tour guide will greet you and provide all the necessary information. After the Emigration, we'll have a scenic tour of the Eternal City of Rome! First, we'll visit the tiny state of the Vatican, the principal center of the Catholic Church. Here, we will see the Roman Colosseum, the iconic symbol of Rome. We will then visit 4 major Churches in Rome (Holy Stairs (Scala Sancta), Basilica of St John Lateran, the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem and St. Paul’s Church). Then we will proceed to Hotel for check in. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Rome.

DAY 3 (TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2019): VATICAN MUSEUM – ST. PETERS BASILICA

After breakfast, we will visit the Vatican Museums and a large part of the Vatican City. We will visit the Vatican Museums and Galleries (long lines are possible at the entrance). There you will admire the modern entrance built for the Jubilee 2000, the Galleries of the Chandeliers, the Tapestries, geographical maps, the Sobieski Hall and the Immaculate

Conception Hall. We will then stop to admire the Sistine Chapel; Seat of the Conclave is the Apostolic Palace and the official residence of the Pope in Vatican City where you will see the famous frescoes of Michelangelo. Passing inside the Vatican Museums we will arrive into Saint Peter's Basilica. St. Peter's Basilica stands on the traditional site where Peter - the apostle who was the first pope - was crucified and buried. St. Peter's tomb is under the main altar and many other popes are buried in the basilica as well. Originally founded by Constantine in 324, St. Peter's Basilica was rebuilt in the 16th century by Renaissance masters including Bramante, Michelangelo and Bernini. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel in Rome.

DAY 4 (WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2019): PAPAL AUDIENCE - ROME - ASSISI - PISA

Early morning breakfast prior to our transfer to Assisi we will attend the weekly Papal Audience *if available*. After the papal audience, crossing the green valley, we arrive in Assisi, where our sightseeing includes visits to the Church of St. Clare which houses her incorrupt body. One of the chapels contains the crucifix that bowed its head and ordered St. Francis to "repair God's Church." Afterwards, we proceed to the Basilica of St. Francis, built in 1228 to house the Relics of the saint. The "upper" basilica houses beautiful frescoes of Giotto. Before leaving Assisi, we visit the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli, containing the famous Porziuncola. This very ancient chapel, venerated for an apparition of angels within it, was originally property of the Benedictines of Subasio. It was located on a piece of land known as the Portiuncula; this name became attached to the chapel. After a long period of abandonment, it was restored by St. Francis. Here, he was given a clear understanding of his vocation. He founded here the Order of Friars Minor (1209), "establishing here his home". We will then proceed to a visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Leaning Tower of Pisa is a medieval structure in Pisa, Italy, that is famous for the settling of its foundations, which caused it to lean

5.5 degrees (about 15 feet [4.5 meters]) from the perpendicular in the late 20th century. Extensive work was subsequently done to straighten the tower, and its lean was ultimately reduced to less than 4.0 degrees. Check in to the hotel, Dinner and Overnight at Pisa.

DAY 5 (THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2019): PISA –PADUA - VENICE

After Breakfast, check out the hotel and proceed to Padua. Retracing the steps of Saint Antony and at the same time discovering treasures of inestimable value around his relics. We will find ourselves immersed in a spiritual walk in the footsteps of a man of the’200. It is an experience that only Padua can offer. After lunch, we will proceed to Venice (Only * 25 miles away from Padua) where you will board a ferry and transfer to Venice Islands. We’ll visit of some of the greatest sights you’ll ever see: St. Mark’s Square, The Golden Basilica of San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs etc. The visit does not include an explanation of the St. Mark’s square. Dinner and overnight stay in Venice.

DAY 6 (FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2019): VENICE – MILAN –ENGELBERG

After breakfast check out and proceed to Milan. Visit Dumo Cathedral. The biggest and greatest example of Gothic architecture in Italy, it is the fourth largest cathedral in the world, built in between 1386 and 1577. It hosts the world's largest collection of marble statues. Lunch at Restaurant then proceed to Engelberg, Switzerland. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Engelberg, Switzerland.

DAY 7 (SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2019): ENGELBERG– RHINE FALLS - HEPPENHEIM

After breakfast check out and proceed to visit Mt Titlis, the Titlis Rotair gondola rotates its way up towards the snow-covered summit of TITLIS. This is the world’s first fully rotating gondola, which slowly spins around 360 degrees during its five-minute trip towards the summit of Mount Titlis. As you travel up 3,020 meters above sea level you can enjoy some spectacular views of deep crevasses and snow-covered mountain peaks. After Lunch, we will proceed to Heppenheim, Germany. On the way, we will visit The Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen. Charming Schaffhausen, a medieval city in northern Switzerland, is home to the largest waterfall in Europe, the Rhine Falls. Imposing in position and power, the waterfalls are located in the “knee” of the Rhine River Dinner and Overnight at Heppenheim, Germany.

DAY 8 (SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2019): HEPPENHEIM – COLOGNE – AMSTERDAM

After breakfast, we will proceed to Cologne (Approx. 3 hrs.), where you will see Cologne Cathedral, St. Martin Church, Shrine of the Three Kings and St. Andrew's Church. There are 2,000 years of history in Cologne, and visitors here will find everything from Roman towers to Gothic churches as fine examples of modern architecture. After lunch at Cologne, we will proceed to Amsterdam (Approx. 3 hrs. 30 mins) Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel in Amsterdam, Capital of the Netherlands

DAY 9 (MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2019): AMSTERDAM – MADURODAM– LISIEUX

After breakfast, we will proceed to visit Amsterdam with travel guide and you will see The Dam Square, Albert Cuyp Market, Amsterdam windmills, Amsterdam's canals. Dam Square or Dam is a town square in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. Its notable buildings and frequent events make it one of the most well-known and important locations in the city and the country. The Albert Cuyp Market is a street market in Amsterdam Amsterdam windmills: Some of these Amsterdam windmills are not open to the public but all of them can be viewed from the outside. This traditional Dutch village is located just 20 minutes from the city centre of Amsterdam. *If time permits*, we will see the Madurodam which is a miniature park. After Lunch, we will proceed to Lisieux. Lisieux is the location of The Carmel monastery where St. Therese spent her years as a religious. Lisieux is becoming one of the premier pilgrimage places in the world, currently receiving more than two million pilgrims a year and the number continues to grow. Check in, dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Lisieux.

DAY 10 (TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2019): LISIEUX– PARIS

After breakfast, we will check out and proceed to visit St. Therese Little flower church and Convent. Lisieux is well established for receiving pilgrims, with several places related to the life of St. Therese. The most prominent are the Carmelite convent, her home (Les Buissonets), the Cathedral and the Basilica. Then we will proceed to Paris. Upon arrival in Paris, we will have a city tour which includes visiting 3 prominent churches (Notre Dame Cathedral, Our Lady of Miraculous Medal & Shrine of Saint Vincent de Paul). Upon entering the Shrine of Saint Vincent de Paul, you’ll notice the glass reliquary containing his body high above the main altar. It is an easy climb to the reliquary by a double stairway behind the altar, to venerate his relics. Then we will go for Seine river cruise and at the end of the day we will visit Eiffel Tower. Check in to the hotel, dinner & overnight stay in Paris, France.

DAY 11 (WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2019): PARIS – LOURDES

After Breakfast, we will proceed for a long drive to Lourdes (Approx. 10hrs) Lunch will be packed or en route. Upon arrival at Lourdes, Check into Hotel. You can go for the Candlelight Procession around 9pm. Dinner and Overnight at Lourdes.

DAY 12 (THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2019): LOURDES – BURGOS

After the breakfast, you will be given half day free time to spend on religious activities on your own. You can also attend mass at 8 am in English at the Chapel. Following Mass, you will be able to visit the sites of Lourdes where, in 1858, Our Lady appeared to young Bernadette Soubirous and visit the Grotto, the spring, as well as the Basilica of St. Pius X, the Rosary Basilica, Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes and Bernadette’s home. After Lunch check out and proceed to Burgos. Check in to the hotel, dinner & overnight stay in Burgos, Spain.

DAY 13 (FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2019): BURGOS– FATIMA

After an early breakfast check out and proceed to Fatima. Upon arrival at Fatima, you can visit Fatima on your own. You can go to the sanctuary for religious activities. You will be guided to visit the village of Aljustrel where Three Portuguese children, Lucia Dos Santos, Jacinta Marto, and Francisco Marto Lived. They were the witnesses to the appearance of Mother Mary. In the evening, we will be able to participate in the candlelight procession. Dinner and overnight stay in Fatima, Portugal.

DAY 14 (SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2019): FATIMA – LISBON - USA

After an early breakfast, check out and proceed to Lisbon. *if time permits* you will be given an orientation tour at St. Antony’s church. We know him as Saint Antony of Padua, Italy; however, Antony was originally from Lisbon, Portugal. The Church is in the Alfama

region of the city where Saint Antony grew up. The Church of Saint Antony stands on the site of his birth. Then we will proceed to Lisbon airport for our flight to New York. Bid farewell to your new friends and to a beautiful tour which will be in our memories and heart for a long time to come. *** END OF TOUR *** Long Distance Coach - we only use good quality, modern coaches, we include all necessary empty runs, driver’s accommodation and meals whilst on tour. Please note EC regulations for Long Distance Coach Drivers:

▪ In one week, a driver is not to exceed 5 days of 12 hrs. And 2 days of 14 hrs. on duty with the group.

Second payment of $ 1000 is due on 03/25/2019. Third payment of $1000 is due on 04/25/2019 and

the final payment of $750 is due on May 25, 2019. A late payment fee of $100 will be charged per

person for all registrations received after the final payment date.

Airline, seating and special requests:

The seats are assigned by the airlines. We do not reserve specific seats. You may change your seat;

provide mileage program information and passenger contact information directly with the airlines once

the ticket numbers are received. (Approximately three weeks prior to departure). All special needs and

requests due to medical or dietary restrictions must be requested in writing at least 60 days prior to

departure. Business class and premium coach seats are available upon request as are add-ons from your

hometown airport.

Single supplement:

A limited number of single rooms are available at an additional cost of $859.00 per person for cash

payment. Prices are based on two people per room. We do not guarantee roommates but will do our

best to connect you with a possible share.

Pricing: Pricing: Prices are based on a minimum of 45 passengers traveling & payment by cash or check. By

accepting this confirmation, you agree that the Group Leaders and Emmanuel Holidays, Inc have no

responsibility for any acts or omission of the travel suppliers in your itinerary and during your trip.

Prices quoted are based on cash/check payments. Cash prices $3,250.00 for the complete package,

Passport:

Your passport must be valid through March 1, 2020. Reservations will not be processed until we have

passport copies.

BAGGAGE: Baggage: Each participant is permitted to check (1) suitcase weighing no more than 50 lbs., and one

small carry-on bag (15 lbs.) on the plane. Airline baggage fees are included.

No liquids / Gel / paste / battery cells or any other item that can be used as a weapon or detonator in Hand Baggage. Flight delays or cancellation: We are not responsible for flight delays or cancellations or any charges incurred due to unforeseen

circumstances. Unused portions of the trip are non-refundable. For information about destination

climate, risks and safety please consult the appropriate on line resources.

Responsibilities:

You are responsible for checking passport, visa, vaccination or other entry requirements of your

destinations. Itineraries are subject to change and out of our control. We are not responsible for any

damaged, lost or stolen articles. We are not responsible for any sickness, injury or death during or after

CLIMATE: • Temperatures will be ranging from 25˚F to 80˚F in Europe.

Walking

This active program covers a good amount of ground each day. The days are busy, usually

starting with a wake -up call around 6AM and departure by 8AM or earlier. We aim to be back

at the hotel between 5PM and 7PM. Times may vary depending on destination and program.

Expect from three to four hours walking on some touring days. The pace is moderate; however,

you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, steps, cobblestones, and significant slopes.

Some tours require walking in the open air with no shade and no seating available.

Cancellation Policies: Tour Cancellation Policy: A $350.00 non-refundable fee will be assessed if reservation is canceled more

than 90 days prior to departure. 90-60 days before departure, a total of $500.00 is non-refundable.

Within 60 days of departure, all payments are non-refundable regardless of reason for cancellations.

Airline tickets once purchased are non-refundable and non-endorsable. All cancellations must be in

writing. Unused portions of the trip are not refundable.

Airlines: ▪ Airfares and seats are subject to availability. Each airline has their own sets of rules and

regulations. ▪ Some Tickets are non-refundable depends on the Airlines.

Deviations:

▪ If you wish to travel in advance or deviate from the tour, additional charges will be applicable.

Points to be noted

▪ Meals at all the destinations are pre-set and a-la-carte is not possible. ▪ Any damage caused to the hotel rooms or coach during the stay shall be payable by the

passengers. Emmanuel Holidays will not be liable for the same. ▪ We reserve the right to amend, alter, vary or withdraw any departure; excursions

advertised or substitute a hotel of similar class if deemed necessary. ▪ The cost of extension of validity of ticket is not included in Tour price.

▪ For the convenience of our passengers, for driver timings, for delay, special events,

accidents, weather conditions, strikes, sickness of passengers, etc., we will sometimes amend the itinerary. However, all services will remain as much as possible the same.

▪ The Company reserves the right to alter the order of the itinerary. The same will be informed to the client before departure.

▪ Taxes as applicable extra. ▪ Accommodation will be provided near the City or sometimes in the center, wherever

possible. ▪ Hotels mentioned are subject to availability. ▪ Passengers can board the tour from the hub city. Those boarding from any other city

can do so, however all expenses to/ from the hub city is to be borne by the passengers. ▪ There are no refunds for any services i.e. meals, sightseeing etc. not utilized on your

tour. ▪ The Company shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss, injury,

accident, death, delay, breakdown or irregularity which may occur in carrying out of the tour arrangement.

▪ Standard check-in time for the hotels is 1400hrs while check-out is at 1200hrs. ▪ The management reserves the right to claim any additional expenses due to delay or

changes in the schedule of trains, flights, coach, cruise or other services, weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine and any other cause whatsoever and all such loss or expenses must be borne by the passenger.
