The Ivy Partnership is a group of local residents, community groups, faith organisations, elected members and service providers including: police, local authorities, housing associations, fire service, health, schools, children’s centres and youth services. The area of focus for the Partnership’s work includes the following streets: Charter Road, Royal Close, Fields View and The Cloisters in Chippenham; an area known as The Ivy. Members of the partnership work together to identify and tackle community priorities by exploring problems and creating workable solutions. The aims of the Partnership are: To encourage and support residents taking action to improve life for everyone living on the Ivy Estate through their own efforts, or through influencing and working with others. To develop relationships between local residents, community groups and service providers who have an interest in creating opportunities and advantages for the local neighbourhood and all of its residents. To celebrate and promote the achievements and ambitions of the Ivy Estate and tackle negative perceptions. To create opportunities for residents and partners to collaborate in problem-solving and solutions creation. To share information with partnership members and the wider community to support local action and stimulate the critical engagement of residents. To support the development and sustainability of local community groups that can make a contribution towards the partnership aims. To support a common centre for mutual contact and co-operation between all interested parties engaged in collaborative service provision. As a resident/community member, I agree to: Work together with other residents and service providers on common goals in the spirit of collaboration. Seek out and share the views of the wider community and provide other relevant local detail at partnership meetings to help improve service delivery and collective action. Attend bi-monthly partnership meetings and sub-group meetings where possible. Signpost other community members to the Ivy Partnership, sub-groups and partners. Help with the distribution and/or display of local news and flyers where possible. Support and promote activities organised by the Ivy Partnership or its constituent groups where possible/ appropriate.
