  • The aim of the research was to determine the effects of recreational aerobics on the functional abilities of women. The population from which the sample is derived is the population of sedentary women, chronologically aged 35 to 45 years. The evaluation of functional capacity has been tested with the following variables: vital capacity, heart rate in the peace, work pulse, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and relative oxygen consumption. For all results, basic parameters of descriptive statistics have been calculated and for determining the difference between initial and the final measurement was the T test. The results of the study showed that after a quarterly application of recreational aerobics there were statistically significant changes in vital capacity (p = 0.000), heart rate in peace (p = 0.000), work pulse (p = 0.020), systolic arterial blood pressure (p = 0.001 ), diastolic blood pressure (p = 0.010) and relative oxygen consumption (p = 0.000). The research found that recreational aerobics program for middle-aged women with sedentary occupations can be effective in changing functional abilities.

The aim of this research was to determine the effects of Zumba fitness model of exercise on reduction of women body fat mass. 45 women aged 25-35 participated in the conducted research. The Zumba fitness program was estimated after eight weeks of exercise, total 24 training sections. The effects of applied Zumba fitness were analyzed by using Paired sample T test. The obtained result showed that Zumba fitness exercise achieved statistically significant improvement in body weight loss (p=.01), body mass index (p=.00), fat percentage (p=.01), fat mass (p=.00), right leg fat percentage (p=.01), left leg fat percentage (p=.00), right arm fat percentage (p=.02), left arm fat percentage (p=.00) and trunk fat percentage (.03). The study results clearly indicated that the Zumba fitness exercise can be used as effective group fitness exercise for total body fat mass reduction of women.

Recreational activities with their means, contents and methods have preventative effects on phenomena that reduce work ability, generate health and lead to locomotor dysfunction. According to the Global Recomendations on Physical Activity for Health, WHO, 2010, adult activity includes activities in leisure time, transport (walking or cycling), activities at work, home-based business, games, sports, organized and individual exercises and all activities carried out within the family, school and sports community. Bicycle riding becomes an increasingly popular activity in recreational training, it is desirable to be carried out in the fresh air environment where the terrain is diverse in configuration, and the use of large muscle groups enriches and makes cycling one of the most widespread forms of recreation in the world. The study was conducted with 12 respondents aged 35 ± 6 months, who were not included in other sports and recreational activities during the research. Prior to the implementation of the recreational program, the initial state of the variables of the functional abilities and body composition of the respondents (Institut sporta of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of the University of Banja Luka) and the values of the blood parameters (Laboratories Konzilijum) were determined and after the implementation of the program the final state was established. Recreational training was programmed for a period of twelve weeks and divided into three basic macro cycles, which consisted of four microcycles - three microcicle construction and the fourth regeneration. All macro cycles were programmed

  • so that each microcicle contained three training sessions. The fourth week in all macro cycles was a week of regeneration that consisted of a straight-run 60 to 90 minutes. Based on the results of the research it can be said that a positive effect on changes in the vo2max, fitness index as well as increase of hemoglobin levels as parameters of the functional abilities of the respondents has been achieved. The 12-week program applied positively stimulated heart and body functioning as a whole and led to improvements in the cardio vascular system. The loads realized during this time period did not lead to significant changes in the morphological characteristics of the body composition - FAT, FAT left leg, FAT right leg, TBW and impedance of the whole body, which is in line with the larger number of current researches of this topic and opens up space for similar research, whereby the parameters of duration as well as the load itself could be changed during the planned program.

The aging process generally leads to various motor skills changes. Talking about the effects of recreational exercise, according to most of the research so far, are mainly: improving emotional health, mood and motivation, positive effects on emotional and social adaptability, strengthening personal feelings; there is a reduction in aggression, a reduction in general fatigue, positive effects on the formation of attitudes towards recreational activities. This motivation to engage in recreational activities is different and is growing ever more. The aim of the paper is to identify and evaluate some attitudes of practitioners towards recreational activity by age, time and frequency of exercise, health status and motivation for participation in activities. The study was conducted on a sample

  • of 134 female females. The questionnaires were regularly questioned by the interviewees on various recreational activities. The obtained results indicate that there is enough awareness of the respondents, in both sub - actions, that regular participation in recreational activities over a number of years and regular weekly training may have a positive impact on the health needs of respondents. Maturity for members of the group over 30 years suggests that they are more willing to take some more time during the exercise week, which can be linked to the overall social and family planning of their lives. The results obtained generally point to a positive attitude of respondents to participation in recreational activities with a certain difference observed by age. Some of the essence of the questionnaire showed the need for further research in this direction, so that we could have as many satisfied participants as recreational activities and the need for further engagement of professionals and the need for their further training in the field of motivation and animation of potential practitioners.
