During my time at Future Automation, I have had the opportunity to work in both small and larger teams, often taking the responsibility of training or supporting new members of staff. During my tenure with the company, I have had the opportunity to work across a broad range of manual and automated products. This resulted in my most recent role working on more technical and bespoke items within the company’s range:

Ceiling Hinge (CH) Engineer (June 2013 – Present)

Assembly of ceiling hinges, a larger and more intricate television lift. Including a variety of hinge types, such as marine, marine IPM, outdoor IPM, remote

Mechanical Engineer (July 2009 – June 2013)

Utilised complex technical drawings amending where necessary to ensure correct assembly and functions available to customers.

Used detailed mechanical knowledge to assemble television lifts and in-depth electrical knowledge so they would operate accurately.

Populated circuit boards (PCB’s). Wired mechanisms using AC and DC wiring on standard and complex custom built

circuit boards. Handled technical calls globally to various audio visual technicians. Attended service calls at various locations including the Majestic Tower Hotel in

Knightsbridge, London. Responsible for ordering the necessary parts for each bespoke television lift. Stock checked to ensure all required materials were available.

Assembly Engineer (February – July 2009)

Assembly of manual television wall brackets. Utilised technical drawings on a daily basis. Assisted dispatch to ensure the timely delivery of goods.

Worked on the shop floor which entailed stock replenishment of ambient, fresh, frozen and dairy

Responsible for checking, signing for and working delivers Ensured stock was rotated and price reductions were made where appropriate. Operated the tills which included the lottery, tobacco and alcohol sales (checking ID

AVC LTD, Stevenage December 2007 - May 2008 Configuration Engineer (left due to redundancy)

Responsible for programming various point of sale tills (POS) and office PCs Utilised DHCP servers to programme IP addresses enabling them to connect to a

common network which allowed imaging to multiple units on to their hard drives using Symantec (Norton) imaging software

Built and tested POS units, set up thin clients which linked numerous tills to stock databases using EZ remote software

Utilised a variety of computing skills, including changing bios settings, command prompt to ping units which checked they were connected to the network
