A book, donated by the Jindabyne P&C, is awarded to each Kindergarten student for

Achievement in Kindergarten. Year 6 buddy Preston Hilless hopes that each Kindy child strives

to achieve the high standards that is expected of them at JCS throughout their following six

years of primary education.

DON ROY MEMORIAL SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY AWARD

Don Roy was a Park Ranger for many years and a very

early advocate of encouraging and promoting a scientific

and environmental awareness of, not only the local area,

but also our environment and the scientific principles we

ABOUT THE WENDY FARMER MEMORIAL LIBRARY AWARD

For over 30 years, Wendy Farmer dedicated her life to the students at Jindabyne Central School. As the

Teacher-Librarian, her days were filled with inspiring young students with a love of reading and learning.

Not only did Wendy serve the school with distinction, she was also involved within the many volunteer and

charity organisations in our community. In loving memory of Wendy, the Farmer Family dedicate these

THE RYAN BOSTOCK SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD

Awarded to Lilly Wallis

This is a perpetual award begun by Lake Crackenback Resort in 2000

in memory of ex-student, Ryan Bostock. Ryan was a character, an

enthusiastic contributor to all facets of sports and school life.

He was a school leader, a School Council representative, choir

member and a lead in dramatic productions, public speaking and

innovative fundraising practices. He was a schoolboy tennis

champion, a great runner and a national ski champion at

Interschool’s. He was a determined young man, nut more

importantly, he encouraged and supported his peers, especially

younger students who all looked up to him. He was an asset to our

MIM SODERGREN MEMORIAL SKI AWARD

Awarded to Jessica Filtness. Presented by Adam Hosie - Thredbo

In memory of Mim Sodergren whose life was lost in the Thredbo Landslide, a woman

whose life was dedicated towards implementing a worldwide Snowsports program

for littlies, an advocate of developing in our younger students, a healthy and active

lifestyle, a love of Snowsports, an encouraging disposition towards their peers and a

desire to strive to achieve their personal best.

to acknowledge the achievement by JCS

Snowsports competitors, who continue to

competitions were collated and the

recipients of these awards are the best

performing students.

The All Rounder Award has been devised to

acknowledge those competitors that have

achieved best results across a number of

events/or disciplines.

suffered incredible hardships due to illness
