In the last 11 years, La main à la pâte has contributed
a lot to the promotion and renewal of primary science
education in France.
The project was founded in 1996 on the initiative of
Physics Nobel Prize winner Georges Charpak and the
French Académie des sciences.
Primary school children are introduced to natural sciences
with an inquiry-based learning method.

100 teaching units (sequences, modules, reports) the pedagogical documentation a small part of the scientific documentation (biology, electricity,
human biology) a small part of the questions archives almost all general texts about La main à la pâte the excerpts of the children's experimental notebooks
