Preface/Introduction
In April 2009 I had a severe Stroke from which I nearly died; after I had finally returned home,
Jeff Burnham stopped by to see me. Jeff had been a good friend prior to the stroke and was the
attending anesthesiologist when I was in the hospital, Jeff commented, “Ken, what happened to
you was a miracle.” Jeff is not a zealous Christian, but is an intelligent, moral person who
would not use the word “miracle” lightly. I agree with Jeff’s assessment and feel that my Lord
and Savior Jesus Christsent me back when I arrived at death’s door He also spoke with me in the
Spirit assigning me the task of writing about an aspect concerning Him of which I am aware. He
is sad that so many of the descendants of His people, Israel, inconsiderately reject Him. His
pronouncement that He is the Alef &Tav in regard to Hebraic concepts has been obscured
somewhat by the translation to Greek Alpha-Omega (Revelations 1:8,1:11 22:13)Jesus was a
mentor to David to establish His people Israel and is still invested in Israel’s future.
Deuteronomy.6:5 Exodus 31:13

This is not an invitation to find a church to become a Christian however I would appeal to you:
“do not become an atheist.” do not turn your back on the Truth. Would you lie in a coffin with
the lid closed because you were once burned by the sun? Jesus is the Messiah expected by the
Jewish nation, each and every person will become aware of this fact as they come to the end of
this life. Although there have been many amicable persons who have tried commendably to
create a constructive relationship between the Jewish and Christian communities, the malevolent
actions and words of very few has disrupted the realization of that honorable goal to the
detriment of both the Jewish and Christian communities.
I will endeavor to relate an aspect of the Lord Jesus Christ that might help perceive Him from
a Jewish perspective. If there is a God (and there is.) He existed before the crucifixion and He
has existed since the crucifixion, thousands of years are but a blink of the eye to Him. Isaiah says
of Him: Isaiah 47:4: “As for our Redeemer, the Lord of Hosts is His name, The Holy One of
3
Israel. Isaiah 48:1,2: Hear this O House of Jacob, Who are called by the name of Israel and have come
forth from the wellsprings of Judah who swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God
of Israel, but not in truth or in righteousness; for they call themselves after the holy city, and lean on the
God of Israel; The LORD of Hosts is His Name; {in the Hebrew of the Tannach this is Adonai Tzevaot.
Psalm 24:10 in transliterated Hebrew states: Adonai Tzevaot, Hu haMelech haKavod. {The
Lord of Hosts, He is the King of Glory!} In this regard David states, “The lord of hosts, the God
of Israel is Israel’s God” 1 Chronicles 17:24. Adonai Tzevaot, translated as”Lord of Hosts” in
English, is a name that refers to Jesus.

1 Chronicles 17:6 Nathan is given a message for David from the Lord of Hosts. "Now therefore
thus shall you say to my servant David, 'Thus says the Lord of Hosts.' "I took you from the
sheepfold from following the sheep to be ruler over my people Israel and I have been with you
wherever you have gone and have cut off your enemies from before you and have made you a
name like the name of the great men who are on the earth. Moreover, I will appoint a place for
my people Israel and will plant them that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no
more as previously." If you have rejected Jesus impetuously, your decision may be echoing the
attitudes of family and/or friends who might disown you if you were to formally acknowledge
Jesus. This is not just a Jewish reaction, other groups of people have this same attitude, your
reputation would suffer if you were to accept Jesus as Savior. The rationale supporting the role
of Jesus is overwhelming. But it is not generally known that He existed in the time of David and
communicated with David and Elijah He also exists in our time and influenced the rebirth of the
Hebrew language. When I nearly died from a stroke, He communicated with me while I was in
the ICU concerning these points which I had previously ascertained and He encouraged me to
publish a document such as this. We (my Christian friends and I) must endeavor to reach the
people of Israel with this information quickly. It’s important. It has taken me three years to
accomplish this, I may be too late.
Jesus was in charge in heaven. He stated, “do you think that I cannot now pray to my father and
He will provide me with twelve legions of Angels.” He is coming back soon, He’s a Jew. You
will recognize Him.
I am writing to anyone who refuses to accept Jesus as God but knows at least a little about the
Bible especially that the Old Testament is almost entirely in Hebrew, Jesus is real and will exist
for eternity. Eternity stretches in two directions, past as well as future, He was and He will be
God Almighty. He was known in very ancient times as Adonai Tzevaot. In this role He
4
communicated with David and was instrumental in the formation of the ancient nation of Israel
under David, His involvement with Israel is not yet complete. When I nearly died from a stroke
He instilled a desire in me to relate this aspect of Him because I know Him as Alef-Tav. I am
compelled to deliver His message. What I will present should not be in conflict with any nuance
of Christian doctrine but may ruffle some feathers because I am not lifting up Greek. Jesus was a
Jew and spoke Hebrew. the languages of the Old and new Testaments are imbued by the Holy
Spirit, but there are various aspects regarding the Kingdom of Jesus that are revealed through
Hebrew, It is a good thing that Christians remain alert to heresy, however, what I present here is
not heresy, but is based on scripture that the Lord himself confirmed when I stood at the door of
eternity. The key element is that He did not say in Greek that He is the Alpha and Omega; He
stated in Hebrew He is the Alef and Tav referring to the great commandment. This relates not
only to the Hebrew words on the sefer Torah(scroll) but also to a consideration regarding the
rebirth of Hebrew in the modern age. Jesus is disappointed that so many Jewish people who do
not even know the verses on the scroll in their mezuzah, base their claim to being Jewish solely
on a denial of Him, especially since the anchor for the Jew is the Sh’ma. Jesus is also
disappointed by Christians who though they have memorized many scripture verses, refuse to
even acknowledge their elder brother, the Jew. Jews did not cause Jesus to be crucified, we
Christians did so by our impudence. Though a person loves God, being in conflict with his/her
brothers and sisters may allow for unintended results by opening the door to dissension and may
be the reason for the vanishing spirituality in this country. People who lean toward paganism, for
instance, may be drawn away to a supposed religion like Wiccan when there is no positive force
exposing them to a true faith, Jesus, who is a Jew, paid the ultimate sacrifice on the cross. if you
have sincerely tried to perceive Jesus as the Savior as presented in the New Testament but you
feel that there seems to be a missing link, then consider and study Adonai Tzevaot who is called
“Lord of Hosts” in the English Translation of the Old Testament, He is a representation of the
Almighty whose purpose is to lead the final charge into the inheritance of glory and grace
available to His people in the gospel. The purpose of the entire Tannach is the gospel; Jesus is
the Messiah, Adonai Tzevaot, and Adonai Tzevaot is Jesus, the lion of Judah, knowing Him in
this regard can help you realize He does not intend to leave you behind and the gospel is for you
too, so you too can know Him in the fullness of His divinity which He offered on the cross for
all humanity. He desires that all will dwell with Him in His Kingdom by accepting Him as Lord
and Savior from sin. Christians do not own Him. In fact, Paul said the gospel is to the Jew
“first” unfortunately, almost all Christians avoid the Jewish world entirely, this is a big-time
disappointment to Jesus. It is His desire to contribute to a pleasant and productive life to any and
all who accept Him as Redeemer and King, especially His own family.
I am the least of those who could have been chosen for this mission. There are many much more
qualified than I, I am also in a sorry state because effects from the stroke have made this
endeavor extremely difficult, painful and humiliating even in small ways, for instance, I was an
accomplished typist, but now I must use a hunt and peck technique with one finger, the left side
of my body is immobile and useless. Feeling sorry for my-self only makes the challenge even
5
greater. But I am honestly, firmly convinced that Jesus personally gave me this assignment, if I
am coherent at all it is due to the Spirit of God. I am not special but perhaps I’ve had unique
experiences allowing me to understand what the Spirit has revealed to me, I can read the Sefer
Torah in Hebrew though I was not raised in a Jewish environment, I have Ashkenazi ancestors
on my fathers’ side and Sephardic ancestors on my mother’s side. I recognize Jesus was not just
the first protestant, His purpose was the most serious in the entire history of mankind, my
purpose is not to aggrandize my situation, and the point of my effort though an important
mission, is something you are probably accustomed to hearing by now which is: to proclaim the
fact that Jesus was not just a poor Jew born in a humble stable but is also God Almighty who is
identified by scripture; He is also the Savior who gave His life to redeem all from sin, however I
am highlighting scripture that has not been given the attention due. Jew and gentile have set
aside the love of God, substituting love of traditions. Jews are drifting from a working
knowledge of Hebrew so the words of the great commandment are not as well recognized by
many Jews who are adopting foreign religions in droves while Christians are enamored with
Greek looking pointlessly for the identity of “666”yet remain clueless concerning the alpha and
omega. Meanwhile, God’s plan for humanity continues. God Almighty loves both the Jew and
Gentile, Jesus is God of the Old Testament as well as the New, taken together; they are One
Book. Both Christians and Jews have established elitist attitudes that must yield to God’s will.
Many Jews say that Christians have no foundation yet know that God is God of all humanity,
Many Christians consider Judaism to be a religion to be avoided, yet say they want to be like
their Lord who was/is a Jew. Much of the disagreement regarding the identity of Jesus has little
to do with Him personally but rather to the heated arguments which exploded out of the process
of translating the Hebrew Torah into the Septuagint that echoed through history. Rabbis
recognizing that there is a missing element in the capability of humans to be able to fully
comprehend scripture, have established the concept of the “Oral” Torah, perhaps in response the
reality of the Holy Spirit from whom Christians perceive Truth, yet is introduced in the Hebrew
scripture as the Ruach ha Kodesh. Jesus said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. This is the
truth, He was and is, He is real! Incorporating the precepts of Jesus Christ into one’s life has
resulted in tremendous benefits to anyone I know who has done so, as it has for me as well, I
know that I know the Truth, I am motivated by Truth, I am compelled to speak Truth. What has
been given to me by the Spirit of God is what I intend to pass on, it does not have to be polished
or prepared in any way. It is my hope and prayer that my words will have a positive impact on
the lives of people so that those who read them will be able to perceive Jesus Christ,Yeshua
haMessiach, in all His Glory, however I am disabled and in extreme discomfort, so in my case
there is room for scoffers to discount me but not so the Lord Jesus Christ, His suffering on my
behalf and others dwarfs my discomfort, I offer two simple concepts based on Alef-Tav. If it had
been my purpose to write for recognition or accolade perhaps the Lord would have given me a
topic like: How to be at peace when the demands of twelve children weigh on you, since the
Lord has given me twelve children, two in a previous marriage and ten with my current wife,
Rosemary. I remember the question of my personal physician when I told him after Rosemary’s
6
first child that Rosemary and I were going to have more children. He blurted out in a shocked
tone, “Ken, do you know how much it costs to raise one child today?” I couldn’t answer him
then, I did not know, but I could tell him now, “some more than others.” still, the Lord has
provided for us and my purpose is not to write for recognition or accolade, I will go to be with
my Lord Jesus soon, I hope to be able to tell Him that I accomplished the task He assigned me. If
there are even just a few who will glean from this the spiritual nugget of truth they need to
perceive the Almighty Awesome God of Heaven and Earth, it will make the hardship I’ve
encountered in doing it to be worthwhile. He loves you whether you are Jew or gentile. He will
be a rich blessing to you and yours.
Adonai Tze-va’ot
Jesus for Jews or anyone who wants to know
My Jewish friend, you are the apple of God’s eye. God Almighty spoke to your ancestors and
commissioned them as His ambassadors to the world. As a Christian I respect, even envy your
seniority, however, finding faith in your environment has been like trying to find gold in a corn
field. Is your claim to being Jewish based on the denial of Jesus rather than a genuine love of
God? Can you even proclaim the Shema or discuss the scriptures related to Yom Kippur? When
was the last time you were called up? Yearly you vicariously experience the exodus of the
Hebrew nation from the yoke of slavery in the Passover Seder then return to an environment
enslaved to the deleterious effects of grievous sin. While I was lying in a hospital bed God
Almighty opened my eyes to scriptures intended for you regarding the God of Israel, Adonai
Tze-va’ot (Lord of Hosts in English). Jesus read in Hebrew from the scroll on the Sabbath, He
discussed issues regarding scripture in Hebrew. In 1 Chronicles 17:24 David states, "the Lord of
Hosts, the God of Israel, is Israel's God" The Lord of Hosts (Adonai Tze-va’ot in Hebrew is a
7
name referring to Jesus. Jesus declared in Hebrew, “ah-knee ha-alef veh ha-tav ha-rosh veh ha-
soff ha-ri-shown veh ah-cHar rown.” All Hebraic concepts anchored in the Torah, Prophets, and
Writings. Christians have done a disservice to their Lord and Savior by ignoring Hebrew
scriptures while giving preferential treatment to Greek, but are serving God by trying to make the
world aware of the love and respect due to our Lord God. God Almighty gave words to Moses
that yield spiritual wisdom to those who love God and His way. The closest expression of His
Word is the Hebrew text available today which has been cared for by the ancestors of today’s
Jewish people. Alpha and Omega is insignificant, whereas Alef and Tav is a crucial part of the
great commandment, one which has been overlooked and in some cases intentionally ignored!
Jewish individuals gravitate to our institutions of higher learning because of a God-given
propensity to scholarship, though human attitudes have restricted the fulfillment of this
propensity. Included with the benefits of being the apple of God’s eye is a responsibility to be
His spokesperson. Since Jews have reneged on this responsibility, Christians have assumed it,
resulting in Jews who cover their deficiency with self righteous anger aimed at Christians whom
Jews accuse of hating them by talking to them about the sacrifice Jesus made on their behalf.
Jews can resolve this situation by simply fulfilling the role that God Almighty intended for them,
however to be competent as a full-fledged servant of God, the Jew must recognize Jesus not just
as a Jew but also truly as God, as did David. Again, 1Chronicles 17:24; “The LORD of
Hosts(Adonai Tzevaot)> the God of Israel> is Israel’s God.”
Pharoah pronounced a curse on every Jew. He declared every Hebrew male should be killed at
birth: Exodus 1:16 Pharaoh to the midwives assisting in the birth of Hebrew children: “When
you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women and see them on the birth-stools, if it is a
son then you shall kill him, if it is a daughter, then she shall live”, Obviously the Jewish nation
would not exist today had Pharaoh’s decree been carried out. Now, the accuser of Job, ha Satan
has joined forces with Pharaoh attempting to cause circumstances to align against you so that
Pharaoh’s decree will be accomplished. My Jewish friend, the Wisdom of the Almighty also
makes a declaration that none are righteous, all have sinned, I recognized the truth of this
judgment from the Almighty regarding myself and discovered that He has made provision for
me, a sinner, yet, My friend, this provision is available to me because it is the plan which the
Almighty instituted for you; I am riding in on your coattails, In Shiloh there is a prophetic
glimpse of the plan that the Almighty is developing on our behalf:
1 Samuel 1:3 This man {Elkanah} went up from his city yearly to worship and sacrifice to the
Lord of Hosts in Shiloh. On a certain occasion his wife Hannah went with him 1Samuel 1:11;
Then she made a vow and said, O Lord of Hosts(Adonai Tzevaot) if you will indeed look upon
the affliction of your maidservant and remember me and not forget your maidservant, but will
give your maidservant a male child, I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life” [She did
indeed conceive, gave birth and named her child Samuel, then gave thanks to Adonai Tzevaot
(Lord of Hosts) for Salvation adding nor is there any rock in Israel like our God . 1 Samuel 2:1-
2 ].

↑tav<vav<alef last three letters=Jesus and the word for sign used in Exodus 31:13
The Hebrew word tzav is the word for legion as in foreign legion; this is also referred to as host.
Tzevaot is derived from this and is plural: legions/hosts. It implies the heavenly army of a
conqueror and its general .This word is used in Genesis 2:1 with a slightly different meaning
“Thus the heavens and the earth and all the hosts of them were finished.” But most pertinent is
this name contains the most important identification of Jesus which is the alef-tav.
In April 2009 I had a major stroke that brought me near to death though I did not experience
the sensation of flying through a tunnel toward a light nor, thank God, a frightening visit to Hell,
however, I emerged knowing that I had spoken with Jesus during this time. After a stay in the
ICU then a regular room in the hospital and a few weeks in a nursing home, I have finally arrived
home with a deep, burning desire to write to the founders of the Christian faith, the Jews. I do
feel the Lord has opened my eyes to some things in the Bible that have been overlooked by
numerous Rabbis and biblical scholars for two thousand years: Jesus spoke face to face with
David.
When the Israelites were faced off against the Philistines, the Philistine Goliath was taunting
them into fear. 1 Chronicles 17:6:David said to Saul, “ The Lord who delivered me from the paw
of the lion and the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” 1 Samuel
17:36 shortly after this David is face to face with Goliath who threatens David viciously yet
David responds, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to
you in the name of the God of the armies of Israel {Adonai Tzevaot!}whom you have defiled,
This day the LORD will deliver you into my hands and I will strike you and take your head from
you.” Then David proceeds to follow up on his boast in the name of Adonai Tzevaot.
The Lord of Hosts (AdonaiTzevaot) expresses His pleasure with David’s attitude.1 Chronicles
17:6 Nathan is given a message for David from the Lord of Hosts. "Now therefore thus shall you
say to my servant David, 'Thus says the Lord of Hosts.' "I took you from the sheepfold from
following the sheep to be ruler over my people Israel and I have been with you wherever you
have gone and have cut off your enemies from before you and have made you a name like the
name of the great men who are on the earth. Moreover, I will appoint a place for my people
Israel and will plant them that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more as
previously."
David’s activities are recorded in three books: Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles, Adonai Tze-va’ot
( Lord of Hosts in English) is the name of the deity who interacts with David. The Lord of Hosts
is not only David's "BFF" but also pledges support to all Israel. The love David has for God
9
empowers him to do superhuman feats, but he also does the seemingly mundane things that
exhibit his love
2 Samuel 5:10 - So David went on and became great, and The Lord God of Hosts was with Him.
2 Samuel 6:2 - And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale
Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, whose name is called by the name, the Lord of
Hosts who dwells between the cherubim. Exodus 25:22 “And there I will meet with you and I will
speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cheribum which are on the ark of the
testimony”
{ In the book of Revelations it is recorded that Jesus stated that He is the Alpha and omega
which he actually stated in Hebrew(alef & tav)which was then translated into Greek. In
Hebrew alef and tav is a quasi word pronounced “et”, which acts as a pointer to the direct
object. This word appears twice in the first verse of the Bible indicating that God created > the
heavens and > the earth. (alef-tav) is also an overlooked Hebrew word within the great
commandment. The great commandment is on the scroll placed in the mezuzah, alef-tav is in the
upper left hand corner. Jesus is humble.
Putting a Hebrew letter vav between the letters alef and tav(alef-vav-tav) makes the word
for sign and/or miracle pronounced, “oat”/=/ot) these are the last three letters of the
name Adonai Tze-va’ot. This is a revelatory pun. The sign of Jesus is the word meaning
sign/miracle; this word is used in Exodus 31:13 which states that the Sabbath is a sign
between God and the generations of Israel}. In Exodus 3:13 Moses asks the Almighty how
he should refer to Him when speaking to the Israelites, in response God Almighty tells
Moses to call Him: “eh-yeh ahshare eh-yeh ”which is: “I am that I am” or “I will be as I will
be”. This is a decisive, assertive statement, perhaps intended as a witness to atheists
signifying that God exists according to His plan at a sliding point called “now” on the never
ending line of eternity. Yet, the Pharisees decide that God who created the earth with its
high mountains and deep oceans assigned them the task of protecting His interests though
He wanted to have a personal relationship with every single person through His Word.
They decide the Almighty Author of Truth and Justice should be aloof unknown except by
the title they would give Him. Then, they publish a book of rules that trump His Word, By
the way, only Hitler had the audacity to attempt to do something similar with his book,
Mein Kampf. Jews have been delivered from Hitler by the hand of the Almighty, yet many
Jews have adopted atheism perhaps to expiate their anger at God concerning the merciless
slaughter of Jews. Hitler was absolutely and positively insane. No person in their right mind
spends any time whatsoever evaluating the babblings of an insane person. David was the
model of the Hebrew to whom the Almighty desired to give an inheritance.
As the Ark is brought in to be installed in the place David has prepared for it, David leaps and
dances in Joy before the Ark 2Samuel 6:16-17 David knows that Israel is destined to be a
mighty nation and that the Almighty is assigning him a pivotal role in this regard. David is brave
10
but more than that he desires to be a servant to the Almighty Awesome God of Israel, Adonai
Tzevaot, knowing that this will be a pattern for his decedents. Jesus does not expect fool-hearted
bravery in in the face the Goliaths of the world, rather respect of His sacrifice and trust in His
providence. He is delimited by the negative attitude of so many Jewish people against Him, He
wants to introduce himself in His role as Adonai Tzevaot, a friend of David and Israel. This does
not diminish His identification as Jesus of the Gospel one iota. As author of this document my
role is nothing. The future will unfold as God Almighty intends, my part will be like an ant
trying to stand in a hurricane, nothing I do will have a significant impact, yet I will do
something, my hope is that it will perceived as worthwhile and my personal prayer is that
something good will result from the horrible stroke experience.
In the gospel of Matthew chapter 22 a discussion takes place between Jesus and some Pharisees
which most characterize as tense, however it was not unusual for discussions to be terse as well
as tense, Truth was and is important, they ask a question which seems rather simple but may not
have been so in their day; they ask, “what is the greatest commandment?” He answers quoting
Deuteronomy 6:5 including Leviticus 19:18 as a parallel mitzvot, then asks them "What do you
think about the Christ? Whose son is He?" They reply quickly as if it were a topic covered by a
Bible story coloring book. "The son of David." The Pharisees had been so fastidious, it is odd
that they did not use the occasion to attempt to humiliate Jesus as they had previously. The words
of 2 Samuel 7:12 are directed to David, the speaker is God Almighty who states: "When your
days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you who will come
from your body and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever." This verse is considered
to be Messianic so is probably the proof text concerning the answer given by the Pharisees to
Jesus; however two verses later 7:14 the speaker, again God Almighty, declares, "I will be his
Father and he shall be my son." The question Jesus asked is not so simple, the Messiah would
be the Son of David according to 2 Samuel 7:12 and the son of God according to 2 Samuel 7:14,
the Pharisees intent was to strengthen their charge of blasphemy against Jesus. The
confrontations between Jesus and the Pharisees of His time have manifested in hard feelings that
are still being felt 2,000 years later. I have a book titled, "You Take Jesus, I'll Take God, How
to refute Christian missionaries," written by a Jewish person named Samuel Levine, which is not
the only indication of the residual angry feelings I've encountered. I began a study of Hebrew,
the Hebraic and Jewish aspects of Christianity in 1980. During this time I had a daily
relationship with a Jew who was a co-worker named Jack who had attended an Orthodox
Yeshiva as a youth in New York. By the time he met me he was austere and gruff. His attitude
toward me was, "I don't agree with what you're saying and I will defend to the death my right to
shut you up." I could not convince Jack that I did not want to confront him rather, I was hoping
to learn from him but he claimed to have been hurt by prior interaction with Christians as a result
he was not the slightest bit interested in being a mentor to me. (it is hard for me to believe he had
been the humble, diminutive party in those relationships.) I did learn that he considered the
11
Torah (Genesis-Deuteronomy) to be contrived fables, and he had become an agnostic due to the
Holocaust, so, though I did understand his disdain of the Holocaust, my hope of learning from
him waned, so I went to the local synagogue called Temple B’nai Abraham and knocked on the
front door to ask to speak to the Rabbi. My question at that time was in regard to some Hebrew
letters for which I had heard duplicate sounds. I learned there were two dialects of Hebrew. This
was not a pivotal or foundational concept but it let me know that the considerable effort I had put
forth had not been just a waste of time. Unfortunately, after this the temple no longer had a
resident Rabbi so, I had to continue my search for a needle in a haystack regarding Hebrew and
Jewish concepts without the help of a Jewish consort. I had naively perceived the Jew as an
ambassador of the Almighty, but it was becoming apparent I had been relegated to a search of
the resources commonly available to me like the public library. Still, there are issues involved
that are greater than just the feelings of either Jack or myself, I was determined to seek out the
truth. This country is in decline; the erosion of truth and faith is surely contributing to the
decline. Jews made considerable contributions to the establishment of this nation. Christians and
Jews should be able to cooperatively exist as when this country first began. In Joshua 5:14;
Joshua encounters a man who the Hebrew text identifies as Sar Tzav Adonai(commander of the
Army of God) El Yehoshua(God Savior) the translation of the Hebrew text in the Tanach ignores
“El Yehoshua”. but does relate that the commander of God's army then gives Joshua a plan for
the conquest of Jericho which will result in the walls tumbling down, then the Israelites would
simply walk right over the rubble into the promised land, however later leaders of Israel
established new and formidable walls that made the common person hesitant to develop personal
perspectives regarding the Bible, yet God Almighty desires to have a personal relationship with
each and every person. Christian services which emphasize a personal relationship with God are
growing while Synagogue attendance is falling off precipitously. New Jewish praise music from
performers like Lamb, Paul Wilbur and others with clear Christian overtones is creating a new
enthusiastic sub-culture exhibiting joy within the Jewish environment. Samuel Levine in his
book “You take Jesus, I’ll take God” expresses irritation at Christians who seem to wear their
feelings on their sleeves, I agree with Mr. Levine that we should be sociable but religion that
does not strike a nerve through introspection now and then is probably ineffective, this is real
life, not a theater stage, I have found that covering up and masking issues neither resolves nor
improves them. When I accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior I truly had a mental picture of the
suffering He endured on my behalf as well as the obnoxious discomfort my sin had caused me
personally, this propelled me to make a drastic change so I could experience the Joy He offers.
The conflict between Jesus and the Pharisees has been blown out of proportion. Jesus was one of
them. Most families have had some sort of conflict which temporarily hinders family
communication which is what has happened in this situation yet a sign has been placed in the
Tannach meant for our time. He is twa ;bc hwhy Adonai Tze-va’ot (LORD of Hosts). He is
the general of the final redemption. His goal is to annihilate the enemy of God, which is Sin, and
to help His people reach the land of Glory and grace. Isaiah 6:3 in transliterated Hebrew:
"Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh, Adonai Tze-va’ot." (Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of Hosts.) Psalm
12
24:10 in transliterated Hebrew states: Adonai Tze-va-ot, Hu ha Melech ha Kavod (Lord God of
Hosts, He is the King of Glory.)Isaiah 41:4 “Who has performed it and done it, Calling the
generations from the beginning? I the LORD am the first; and with the last I am He.” Isaiah
44:6 “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and His redeemer Adonai Tzevaot/the Lord of
Hosts, ‘I am the first and I am the last” Jeremiah 10:16: "For He is the maker of all things; and
Israel is the tribe of His inheritance The Lord of Hosts is His name."
Isaiah 9:6: "For unto us a child is born unto us a son is given." the last words of the very
next verse 9:7 say: "The zeal of Adonai Tze-va’ot shall perform this." My Jewish friend, denying
Jesus does not make you Jewish. God Almighty was involved in the birth of Yitzhak, Samuel,
and Jesus. God has a plan and demands priority. We love Him by yielding to His plan, which
makes more sense than demanding our own way because His plan is best for us.
This is an appeal to truth. Jesus is God as evidenced in the name Adonai Tze-va’ot, yet He gave
His life on the cross for me and you.
I recall that in junior-high school I found myself involved in situations in which I was
blameless for some turmoil that developed, but was being accused of things in which I was
actually the victim. My enemies, the bullies, were quick thinking aggressors who could use lies
to make themselves appear to be sweet angels, I had to seek understanding from my father, and
this is similar though mediocre in comparison to what is happening in regard to Israel and the
Palestinians. Adonai Tzevaot understands and will cause an equitable resolution to be the result
of the seemingly irresolvable situation regarding the Jews in Israel today. He will cause miracles
to happen where needed and will guide the course of history to traverse a path that leads to the
Fulfillment of His Word. He is Israel’s Father. Left Him up as the banner over Israel! David
declares Adonai Tzevaot to be the God of Israel. The Word of God confirms this. Jesus is
Adonai Tzevaot yet He is waiting on you, my friend to recognize and accept Him. My Jewish
friend you have been trying to cast yourself as the suffering servant, but we all suffer, God
Almighty did not create us to suffer rather to love and in your case to dance before the Ark, You
are David, in this scenario Jesus is Jonathan who has expressed great love for you, but you have
forsaken Him, He has not jilted you. The Old and New Testaments are one cohesive work about
the Almighty Holy One of Israel, Adonai Tzevaot.
Old vs, New
Mr. Samuel Levine in his book “You take Jesus, I’ll take God”-how to refute Christian
Missionaries apologizes to his audience for using the term “Old Testament” One should not be
so easily offended, rather consider what is new in the New Testament, Jesus did not bring us
another set of 613 commandments, but rather emphasized just one which is to love one another
as we love God. In this regard there is an indication that Jesus has projected himself from the
13
pages of the New Testament into a modern consideration. Since Hebrew is a revived language
there is a committee responsible for rendering Hebrew words and phrases,
the phrase “one-another was rendered as “zeh <et> zeh” Hz ta hz Jesus <Alef-Tav> is the connection and mediator between two persons in any relationship
The object of our action/affection should be the other person.
The word zeh is a pronoun representing a person (in this case two are represented)
“et” is the quasi-word “alef-tav previously discussed which is a pointer to the direct object and
is also the sign of Jesus, ah-hav-tah is the Hebrew word for love in Deut. 6:5, consequently, “ah-
hav-tah zeh <et> zeh” would be the phrase love one another. Jesus expressed a concept that
would not be entirely revealed until our era. His claim that He is Alef-Tav referred not only to
the Great Commandment which the Pharisees could read on the scroll of His day, but also to His
new commandment which is finalized in the modern age! The full impact of His new
commandment is not apparent until the phase one-another is translated into modern Hebrew .
Jesus made a picture on the cross of His foundation from the Old Testament and His New
Commandment in the New Testament , putting Himself center most in our love relationships
with our Father, God Almighty and with each other. This is the love that permeates from both
the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
Scripture
When the Rabbi removes the scroll from the Ark to read the weekly portion in the Shabbat
service he greets the scroll with a kiss while it is still dressed which is how Judas identified Jesus
for the Roman soldiers. Today we have the Hebrew Scriptures available on the printed page; we
also have comfortable tables, chairs and good lighting as well as band-aides and pain killers to
deal with minor aches and pains so we can focus on the text. Hundreds of ancient Rabbis and
Biblical scholars had none of these tools as they worked to prepare the text so we can read it in
our language, yet many completely ignore it, very few give it any priority in their daily lives. In
1979 I had a subscription to the Jerusalem post. Each week the chief Rabbi of Jerusalem would
publish a drash (sermon based on the weekly Torah portion) since the edition of the Post I
received had a worldwide distribution I surmised that Jews everywhere followed this weekly
tradition, yet Samuel Levine in “You take Jesus, I’ll take God” states that Jews do not know nor
read the Bible. As an active founding member of a messianic congregation called Petah Tikvah
in Springfield, Illinois I truly enjoyed the 5 to 6 hour Bible study regarding the weekly portions
we held after each Shabbat service. Many astonishing points were highlighted during these
gatherings. Several of our members were Christians, but we also had several Jewish members
all of whom were young adults with small children. Baruch haShem! My Jewish friend, Messiah
has given His life for you. He deserves your love,Yet He is not expecting you to become a
Christian as part of a multi-step-program, but he does expect that as a Jew you will know the
principles and precepts of the scripture according to His times and seasons especially Shabbat
and will be a witness of the Creator. Shalom.

The Lord of Hosts speaks to David
Though the Jew can look to Abraham as the Founder of the Jewish people, David is the Anchor
of the nation of Israel.
Exodus 25:22 –FYI from Adonai to Moses concerning the Ark, "And there I will speak with you
from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the
testimony. David prepared a place for the Ark then danced around it.
1 Kings 8:15 - The words of Solomon, "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel who spoke with His
mouth to my father David."
Elijah
1 Kings chapter 18,19
Elijah chides the people because they do not know God and are drawn away by Baal.
1Kings 18:21 And Elijah came to all the people and said, “How long will you falter between two
opinions? If The LORD is God follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered
him not a word, so Elijah proposed a face off. 450 prophets of Baal took up the challenge, that
the God who answers by fire<> He is God. The prophets of Baal beseeched their god to no
avail. Then Elijah called out to God, “LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and, Israel, let it be known
this day that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and that I have done these things at
your Word.”…verse 38 Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice…now
when all the people saw it they fell on their faces and they said, “The LORD, He is God! The
LORD, He is God. Later when Elijah winds up hiding in a cave apparently concerned that
Jezebel might execute him (more likely, he was despondent because he had no peer.) the LORD
asks him, “ Elijah, what are you doing here?” Elijah answers, “I have been zealous for the LORD
God of Hosts” In Hebrew this is Adonai Tze-va’ot whom Elijah had called the LORD God of
Abraham, Isaac and Israel. Elijah would be at least disappointed with his people of today who
are disinterested in the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel.
Religion
15
The hypocrisy we call religion in the country makes a joke of Samuel Levine's catchy title, "You
take Jesus, I'll take God." This country after such an auspicious beginning has made the
intolerance of true religion, our religion; however, it is still true and will ever be true that the
philosophy and teaching of Jesus Christ can blow away the hodge-podge of supposedly religious
mumbo-jumbo and make religion an enjoyable, uplifting endeavor. Synagogues can be Jewish
yet every member can also be a serious atheist who would choke if they were to earnestly
proclaim the Shema or say a Bracha. There arealoso groups, though they are few in number and
sparse in attendance, that demand to be classified as a Christian church yet do not hold in regard
any of the aspects of the life of Jesus that qualify Him as God.These issues are making the
stubborn, irrational denial of Jesus the badge of being religious, is simply making your
spirituality disingenuous. In this way Jesus has become a stumbling block to you as prophesied,
not because it is His desire but because that is the role being forced upon Him, yet He has
humbly accepted this role. I was an alcoholic who sinned grievously, this is the truth, when I
acknowledged the truth concerning myself and Him, He became my sin offering, He will do the
same for you. I cannot glory in my sin, but I do have joy in sharing His victory over sin.
Christianity
The goal of Christianity is to recognize and acknowledge Truth. God is truth, the human spirit
is in conflict with this because we want to be the focal-point of truth. Spiritually many Christians
are prospering while many Jews appear to be languishing, this is upside-down, but the reason is
apparent. When a Pentecostal church was established near my home as an adult, I noticed men
going in as practically no-account bums then emerge as fine upstanding citizens. I found out it
wasn’t magic; it was the power of Truth! Then I recognized; I was trying to run away from the
Truth myself (I am a sinner); when I embraced it, it set me free. Society constantly institutes
subtle programs to honor certain personality types, but not to recognize Truth, so the epitome of
Truth, Jesus Christ, seldom is held in high esteem. A person who decides to pursue Truth is
considered by society to be a misfit, self-righteousness is the accepted norm. Being a God
fearing person is a daily challenge. Trusting in His provision each day is faith. When we grow
weary our faith is the key to regeneration and stability. The Jewish realm would be well-served
by incorporating Faith. Atheists may feel uncomfortable, but God Almighty will be pleased by
an enhanced relationship with Him. The Truth of God embodied in Christ Jesus empowers His
people and will survive scrutiny. Human nature being what it is seeps into all human endeavors,
Jews were alert to blasphemy at the time of Jesus, and Christians are alert to heresy today. True
scholarship and reverence will rise in our ranks Let us focus on complimenting each other and
give honor to God Almighty.

Jesus said He is the Way the Truth and the Life. He said this in Hebrew, “Ahnee ha derech, veh ha
emet, veh ha high-eem.” These are concepts mentioned in the Rabbinical notes in the Tannach.
Another reference to himself that may prove to be useful to some well-endowed Biblical scholar is His
statement that He is the alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the first and the last. However
I believe He said this in Hebrew, not Greek. At this point I must turn this over to an aforementioned
Biblical scholar, I do not have the credentials to back-up such a claim, however I do have a few
observations. i
Alpha and Omega/ ha-Alef veh ha-Tav/ A & Z
Obviously Jesus was not speaking in English but could have implied that I am everything that letters
can be used to spell. Jesus was referring to is what would appear to an English speaker to be the
second word in the great command in Hebrew, Ahavtah “ET” Adonai Eloheynu. “ET” is alef-tav. Jesus
confirmed to me that this is what He was referring to, so confirmation by someone other than myself
is soon to come, doctrine is not greater than Jesus, Hebrew is known as a pictorial language so a
connection can also be made to an offering on a tree, Jesus also referred to himself as the way the
truth and the Life which He said in Hebrew, “ah-nee ha-derech veh ha-ehmet veh ha-high-yeem.” This
is word for word so is easy to grasp, but the alef and tav intended for the Jewish mindset has been
cloaked behind the Greek translation.
The Beginning and the End/ha Rosh veh ha Soff
In the first verse of the Bible the Alef-Tav occurs twice, and this claim by Jesus is on the last page of a
Bible rendered totally in Hebrew. In this regard Jesus is in conflict with the Rabbis of the Kabala The
words used to respectfully refer to the Almighty Holy One are “Adonai” or “HaShem” (Lord or The
Name) where as those into Kabala refer to Him as “Eyn Soff” (there is no end.) Yet Jesus who is the
Son of Almighty God also indicates He is the End. Clearly, these are Jewish concepts and as such
require the illumination of one cognizant in these concepts, but we are lacking a Rabbi to earnestly
consider these topics, so it is left to only the heretics to explain it.I know I am compelled by more
than just a whim to write this, it is not my desire to put forth some new doctrine, but if my effort
results in even one person perceiving the majesty of Jesus, it will save a generation and will be the
result I am hoping for. He will meet me at the End of my life, to evaluate my performance like a
teacher. I am expecting He will be pleased with me. May it be so with you as well. Baruch Hu. Amen.
The first and the last / ha rishown veh ha ah-cHarown
This is a reference to 41:4 & 44:6 of Isaiah. This is also directed specifically to the children of Israel.
Though I am one among you, It would be better for you to hear the Lord yourself. Please read it and
study as the Lord leads. Adonai Tzevaot can cause you to receive from these verses what is intended
for you, if you read them and consider the matter yourself. Glory be to Him.
Adonai Tzevaot is God; His purpose is the final Redemption. Adonai Tzevaot is Jesus.

Last Words
My Jewish friend, Jesus was a Jew who proclaimed the Shema to honor His God and father. He
was and is the Messiah of Israel, Adonai Tze-va’ot AKA The King of Glory.<> Psalm 24:10
Denying this does not make you Jewish, rather it is foolish, regardless, he is a 12- star general
who wants to commission you and I into His Army. In this world we eventually become useless
and worthless; in His service we can find our greatest value. You receive your commission by
acknowledging Him in your heart as your personal Messiah, and then he will place the fire that
does not consume in your heart forever. I leave you with the words of Moses to Joshua, “Hazak
veh eh-Matz” (be strong and courageous.) It is unexpected that standing for truth will take
courage; fortunately, it is a trait that will yield a great return. Shalom.

Regarding the exchange between Jesus and the Pharisees the gospel of Matthew(22:36-40) reports:
when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees they had gathered together, then one of
them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him and saying, “Teacher, which is the great
commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him”You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the
second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the
