Printing is carried out directly onto the gar-ment.Transfer printScreen-printing is carried out directly onto the garment, while transfer printing is performed using a carrier, which is then ironed onto the gar-ment.EmbroideryEmbroidery is durable and often perceived as exclusive. Garments are individually embroidered which means that each garment can be custom-ised.Embroidered labelsThe idea behind this is the same as for embroidery but instead of embroi-dering directly onto the garment the design is embroidered onto a carrier which is then sewn or ironed onto the garment.EmbossingEmbossing is a method that punches the print onto the fabric three-di-mensionally. The effect is discreet and exclusive.Woven labelsIf you are ordering many items, a woven label is often cheaper than direct embroidery or an embroidered label. Compared to embroidery, woven la-bels can produce finer detail and smaller letters. The labels are sewn or ironed onto the garment in the same way as an embroidered label.

ResponsibilityThe environment and ethics have always been important to us, and we carefully monitor the way our suppliers treat their staff and deal with environmental issues. Production and transportation have a huge environmental impact. We seek a close partnership with our suppliers on environmental matters. We demand that suppliers comply with the restrictions in the chemicals guide issued by the Swedish Textile Importers’ Association and with current EU regulations. Our code of conduct covers areas such as water treatment and the handling of waste and chemicals. Products are tested regularly at our own laboratories in Asia, or at independent testing institutes, to ensure that suppliers comply with our demands. For shipping, we work with the biggest players in the market, all of which have corporate environmental programmes. Assessment of these programmes is an important part of our purchasing process for shipping. We consolidate as many shipments as possible to reduce both costs and environmental impact.

We use airfreight sparingly, and only in emergency. Airfreight remains our biggest environmental impact, however, and we are continuing to work on reducing its use. To give you extra confidence when you purchase your corporate wear from Mac One & Jingham, we have drawn up guidelines for our suppliers to ensure that our products are made in good working conditions. They include demands in areas such as the work environment, prohibition of child labour, working hours, pay and trade union freedom.
