Since 1995, Springfield businessman and patron of the arts Don Wessel has underwritten the Emerging Concert Artists series, greatly enriching the roster of classical music performances at Juanita K. Hammons Hall. We appreciate the continuing generosity of Mr. Wessel and his

family as they support these wonderful classical recitals – and we are gratified to also provide opportunities for local music students to work with the artists in educational outreach activities, and give patrons a chance to visit with the performers at post-recital receptions.

Juanita K. Hammons Hall, now more than ever, depends upon support from individuals and businesses in our community to assist us in continuing to present the best in performing arts, entertainment and arts education. funds donated to The Performance Society help pay the costs associated with bringing

artists to the Hall; help provide master classes, seminars and residency activities; and help with the facility’s operational expenses.

Your contribution to The Performance Society is recognized throughout the season with special mention in the Hall’s season program. Higher level

donors receive additional benefits, including vouchers to exchange for tickets, advance notification of performances, and special invitations. contributions help keep ticket prices at a reasonable level – many times, prices charged for cultural events do not cover even half the artists’ fees and expenses. Gifts are fully tax

deductible, minus the benefits at each level.

Your generous gift enriches the lives of citizens throughout the community. for more information call the Missouri State University office of Development at 417-836-4143.
