Nutrition Services Clerk

The job of a Nutrition Services Clerk was established for the purpose/s of providing general clerical support to assigned area; communicating general information to staff, vendors and the public; processing information in compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements; providing information indicating that revenues are dispersed and expenses are within Board and budget limits, and maintaining accurate account balances.

Basic Responsibilities

• Attend meetings as assigned (e.g. account analysis, training, etc.) for the purpose of conveyingand/or gathering information required to perform the functions of the job.

• Call substitutes for the cooks, cook helpers, etc. for the purpose of providing coverage wherenecessary.

• Distribute mail, menus, supplies, messages, etc. for the purpose of disseminating materials toappropriate parties.

• Inform personnel and vendors regarding a variety of procedures and program requirements (e.g.purchase orders, check requests, etc.) for the purpose of providing necessary information forcompleting transactions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with established fiscalguidelines.

• Perform record keeping and clerical functions (e.g. uniform allowances, filing, copying, faxing, etc.)for the purpose of supporting assigned administrator and/or site personnel.

• Prepare a variety of written materials (e.g. faxes, emails, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose ofdocumenting activities, providing written reference, conveying information and/or complying withfinancial, legal and administrative requirements.

• Prepare written materials (e.g. reports, memos, letters, invoices, milk orders,etc.) for the purpose ofdisseminating information to appropriate parties.

• Process documents, forms, mailings and materials (e.g. employee attendance, food productionrecords, daily tickets, Free and Reduced Lunch applications, purchase orders, etc.) for the purposeof disseminating information to appropriate parties.

• Refer and respond to inquiries from school staff, parents, vendors and others as appropriate for thepurpose of obtaining more information and/or services, etc.

• Maintain regular personal attendance and punctuality for the purpose of ensuring efficient delivery ofservices to the district.

• Occasionally assist other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of theirwork activities.

School Bookkeeper

The job of a School Bookkeeper was established for the purpose/s of providing an array of fiscal services for school staff and students; conveying and updating fiscal information; and providing information to appropriate administrators regarding disbursement of funds.

Basic Responsibilities

• Analyzes expenditures against budget for the purpose of determining feasibility of service withinbudget parameters.

• Collects funds from student events (e.g. ticket sales, yearbook purchases, athletic letter distribution,etc.) for the purpose of providing the accuracy and timely completion of transactions.

• Coordinates development of reports (e.g. fundraisers, sales tax, etc.) for the purpose of meetingdeadlines and complying with State, district, and federal guidelines.

• Implements reporting procedures and internal controls for the purpose of maintaining accuraterecords and complying with the Uniform System of Financial Record keeping, district policies andother regulatory requirement.

• Maintains a variety of fiscal information, files and records (e.g. accounts payable, accountsreceivable, athletics, etc.) for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail forcompliance.

• Monitors account balances and related financial activity for the purpose of providing that allocationsare accurate, related revenues are generated, expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscalpractices are followed.

• Prepares cash deposits from school activities for the purpose of making bank deposits.• Prepares written materials (e.g. reports, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose of documenting

Central Office Secretary - Accounting

The job of a Central Office Secretary - Accounting was established for the purpose/s of computing and processing accounts payable information in accordance with established practices; providing information to show that expenses are disbursed within Board and budget limits and overall fiscal policies, practices and/or regulations; and maintaining accurate account balances.

Basic Responsibilities

• Attend meetings as assigned (e.g. account analysis, training) for the purpose of conveying and/orgathering information required to perform the functions of the job.

• Analyze fiscal data (e.g. contracts, reports, data, etc.) for the purpose of determining feasibility ofservice within budget parameters, making recommendations for use of funds.

Central Office Secretary- Transportation

The job of a Central Office Secretary – Transportation was established for the purpose/s of providing secretarial duties to support assigned administrative personnel; communicating information to staff, students, the public, and other districts; ensuring compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and providing information and/or direction as may be requested.

Basic Responsibilities

• Attend meetings as assigned (e.g. staff meetings and interviews) for the purpose of conveyingand/or gathering information required to perform functions.

• Verify and ensure accuracy of attendance records (i.e. Kronos) for employees for the purpose ofcomplying with District attendance policy.

CPC - CTE Specialist

The job of a CPC/CTE Specialist was established for the purpose(s) of providing secretarial duties to support assigned administrative personnel; preparing data for CTE grants, communicating information to staff, parents, the public, other districts, the county and the state; ensuring compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and providing information and/or direction as may be requested.

Basic Responsibilities

Nutrition Services Specialist

The job of a Nutrition Services Specialist was established for the purpose/s of performing accounting work, financial reporting, payroll processing, accounts receivable functions, billing and complete oversight of the Meal Magic POS system; secretarial support to assigned office personnel; communicating information to staff, the public; ensuring compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and providing information and/or direction as may be requested.

Basic Responsibilities

• Attend meetings/trainings (e.g. software user groups, etc.) for the purpose of remainingknowledgeable with current District and department regulations.

• Verify and ensure accuracy of attendance records (i.e. Kronos) for employees for the purpose ofcomplying with District attendance policy.

• Coordinate and prepare reports for the purpose of providing compliance with State, financial, legaland/or administrative requirements.

• Create and implement the setup and processes of all catered events for the purpose of creatingincome and services throughout the District.

• Create and/or revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeepingsystems, forms control, office layout, budgetary and personnel requirements for the purpose ofimplementing changes necessary for Nutrition Services efficiency.

• Maintain documentation for all contracted services (e.g. senior meals, MISD, Head Start, etc.) forthe purpose of financial stability and relationships within the community.

• Maintain lunch deposit merchant account for the purpose of budgetary requirements.• Maintain a wide variety of informational files for Local, State and Federal audits for the purpose of

adhering to all guidelines and requirements.• Maintain office organization (e.g. office supplies, equipment maintenance, etc.) for the purpose of

the efficient department operations.• Prepare and process accounting transactions (e.g. accounts receivable, journal entries, invoices,

vendor maintenance, purchase orders, etc.) for the purpose of providing required information withdistrict requirements.

Vocational Education Paraprofessional – Radio/Television

The job of a Vocational Education Paraprofessional (Radio/Television) was established for the purpose/s of assisting assigned teaching personnel in the supervision and instruction of students, performing classroom clerical tasks in support of the instructional process, and directing the broadcast center after school hours.

Basic Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision in use of studios during class, after school, location events and during specialactivities (i.e., after school shows, annual 4 day pledge drive, sports broadcasts, board meetings,etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a student centered safe and efficient workplace.
