Job Purpose The post holder will use acumen and expertise in overseeing the project management and delivery of all CIArb courses and assessments around the globe, pursuant to the Object in its Royal Charter, of providing education, training and professional qualification in ADR. They will be responsible for ensuring that the CIArb’s renowned global standards of knowledge and practice are maintained in all projects and qualification courses developed and delivered. Their role within the organisation will be to provide operational support to the Director of Education and Training in implementing projects, in the delivery of education and training and managing the Education and Training team. Utilising their educational insight and learning strategies, the post holder will drive education and training and deliver good outcomes from a customer and client perspective. Further, the post holder will work with the Executive team and other operational stakeholders to advance education and training and identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement. This job description is intended as an outline indicator of general areas of activity. It is expected that the post holder will be as positive and flexible as possible in using this document as a framework. Responsibilities

To implement all elements of Education Department’s projects, courses, assessments and aspects (such as membership courses, non-membership courses, quality assurance and partnerships and delivery)

Manage the entire education and training team, demonstrating effective management and leadership and a desire to develop individuals to achieve their full potential

To deliver an education and training function that puts the customer at the heart of all its interactions and supports the CIArb strategic objectives specifically associated with education and training

To develop an environment that is focused on furthering quality and great customer experiences by adopting a culture of continuous improvement through review

To utilise project management skills and business management tools, knowhow and information to meet business requirements and develop and enhance the Education Department’s opportunities and return on investment

To regularly review, develop, horizon scan and commission the most effective learning tools and products for stakeholders

To assess the suitability and opportunity to enhance partner, customer and commercial engagement through different learning interventions

To measure and evaluate the effectiveness of projects and all training programmes conducted and use this insight to continuously improve education and training

To manage and maintain the risk management procedures within the E&T team

To work with partners, stakeholders, tutors and developers on developing annualised education and training plans demonstrating value, innovation and a commitment to equality and diversity principles

To promote and maintain vibrant and collaborative relationships with other departments, particularly Memberships, Marketing, Policy and Research to ensure effective course development, promotion and increases in membership numbers

Be the technical point of contact in relation to all education and training activity providing advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, external clients and as required, third parties

Oversee and delegate implementation of project and courses elements to team members, whilst maintaining overall control and reporting performance to the Director of Education and Training on a monthly basis

Assist the Director of Education and Training in the creation and monitoring of the departmental budget Attend relevant CIArb committees and boards as required and liaise with relevant committee/board members
