What Should We Pray For?

Prayer

That we may walk worthily, bear fruit, and please God (Col. 1:9-12)

Paul urged brethren to pray for open doors (Col. 4:2-3)

That we may speak so others understand (Col. 4:4-6)

That we may speak boldly (Eph. 6:19-20)

That we speak with love & gentleness (Eph. 4:15, 1 Pet. 3:15)

“Who is adequate for these things?” (2 Cor. 2:14-16)

What an awesome responsibility! Pray for God’s help.

But God invites us to ask for wisdom (James 1:5-8)

Prayer is no substitute for Bible study (2 Tim. 2:15)

Where can we find these opportunities? (James 2:1-5)

Successful evangelism requires fervent prayer, godly living, and self-sacrificing love for the souls of others.
