Work Experience:

Aug 2014 – Sept 2015 I returned to college this year to complete my Masters in International Management, working and learning as part of a culturally diverse team (class). The program requires that I travel to Hong Kong to learn more about cross-cultural management. This will further develop my management training. I am also a part-time tutor, doing innovation, creativity and enterprise workshops for 3rd Year Bachelor of Commerce Students. 2012- Aug 2014 Since finishing my Bachelor Degree last June I have been working in both the hospitality industry (the Tamarind restaurant) as well as working on several new Business Projects with a start-up company (The Solution Guys). The Solution Guys are a management consulting business where the focus is on energy efficiency and cost optimization for companies. During my time working for this company, my role involved managing our client’s needs as Chief Client Account Manager, integrating a new CRM system (Sales Force) and a workflow system (Jiira), to allow for the expansion of the business on a national scale by the end of 2015. Prior to working for The Solution Guys I worked as the General Manager of a busy restaurant called the Tamarind. Here, I was responsible for staff training, HACCP control, stock control, sales forecasting and implementing marketing strategies. Before accepting the position in the Tamarind I worked on Galway’s tourism and events website called Galway.com where I was Sales and Brand Recognition Manager. I lead a team that covered festivals and social events on offer in Galway. While doing this I was also working in The House Hotel as a Restaurant Supervisor. 2011-2012 During my final year of college, while continuing my studies I worked in Logues shoe shop in Eyre Square. I managed to balance full-time study and full-time work and deliver both with equal enthusiasm. 2010-2011 During my time working as a sales assistant for Michael Gleeson Shoes in Limerick, I utilised my communication skills to ensure I continually exceeded set sales targets. I achieved this despite the challenging economic climate in Limerick and its impact on the store. 2008-2010 While at college I was involved in doing promotional work for several night clubs and promotional companies including Coyotes Nightclub, Central Park Nightclub, Red Bull and Desperados. This required use of my outgoing, approachable and persuasive personality to promote a variety of branded goods that needed to be presented in line with the promotional briefing.
