Spirit Baptism is all about:

Initiation

Baptism Imagery…

No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again... no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the

Spirit.

John 3:3,5

Baptism Imagery…He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his

mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

Titus 3:5

Spirit Baptism is all about:

Initiation

Inclusion

Inclusion in ChristDon’t you know that all of us who were baptized into

Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?...just as Christ was raised from the dead through the

glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Romans 6:3-4

It is Christ’s vicarious baptism for us in blood on the cross, his death in which we, by grace,

participate through water and the Spirit.”

Inclusion in the Body of Christ

For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—

and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
