Lamp The lamp fits your needs by creating a malleable structure

that allows you to give you any way possible from flat-pack

Page 5: Jonas Feliu - Portfolio

First approximation in of the first paper drawings made.Begin to give volume to the initial ideas and see how they interact with light in a way more poetic. The initial objectives to be achieved with the lamp are: natural forms, modular, malleable, in movement, simple, complex, interactive, versatile, organic and flat-pack.Escaping from the pre-established ideas can create surfaces that organic and natural flowing as lamps suspended in the air

surrounding the lamp. The flat-pack in progress, start from a basic form that was taking new forms as is gradually transformed. Obtain in this way have an initial volume that takes up very little space and, in seconds, grows occupying considerable space.

The project result is a lamp that provides the opportunity to generate a thousand ways from the repetition of a simple mesh, at a time, complex.

SoapThe erosion of the materials applied

to the perfect ergonomie of the user

Page 9: Jonas Feliu - Portfolio

This project considers the entire process and different stages that a bar of soap goes through as it is worn away over the course of its lifecycle, from the time it is purchased until it is all gone. As well as this, we considered the fact that more than one person may use or “interact” with the soap, thereby participating in this constant process of change and evolution. It is a soap which changes, evolving as the user interacts with it, playing with the idea of

erosion by the water and by the person as the soap builds up and wears away around the original holes. Throughout the life of the soap, these holes will either join together or will be slowly filled in, leading to new forms progressively evolving. The product’s packaging is intended to be simple but pleasing, giving added value to the product, suggesting something unique is inside; no two bars are the same and each is different from the last.

FotographyObserve the space around us through a camera

photographic seeing things from another perspective

Page 11: Jonas Feliu - Portfolio

We are going back through the ages to the time of the first cameras. We have (re)created a pinhole camera based on the most primitive system of taking photos. We made a hermetically sealed wooden lightbox which was painted matte black inside so that no extraneous light could enter or reflect. By considering the measurements of the camera and the size of the pinhole, along with a number of other variables related to the subject matter to be photographed and the incidence of the light and so on, you can be taking good quality, black and white grayscale shots in a

very short time. The quality of image obtained with these cameras is completely different to those from a modern camera. But with a little patience and practice, effects such as transparency and fleeting movements can be captured. There is a special light-sensitive sheet inside the chamber. When the cap is removed light comes through the pinhole creating a negative on the paper. It is a laborious process but the results are rewarding and you are intimately involved in the entire process of creating a photo.

RugA sea of letters from felt strips

Page 15: Jonas Feliu - Portfolio

The carpet comes to life, flooding the floor with deep red letters of the alphabet. If a rug can’t be touched, felt, enjoyed, it’s not a rug. This was the premise for developing this innovative, ground-breaking rug. This prototype is a reduced-scale version. It is about the size of a sheet of paper. The letters are made of deep red colored felt and the rug’s internal joins are made with white cotton cord. The project was commissioned by

Nanimarquina, an internationally renowned specialist rug design company. This proposal was to develop a rug with the same charisma and style as the company itself, without becoming repetitive. The project was related to an exhibition being held in Vinçon, a famous designer store in Barcelona. Informative flyers were made for the event with a concept of bringing together two worlds - those of the rug before and after it has been manufactured.

LampModular lamp exhibited in one of the most lively bars in the neighborhood of Gràcia, Barcelona

Designer lamps very clearly say “you can look, but you better not touch!” But

this lamp shouts: “Play with me! Move me! Touch me! Enjoy me!” You put the

finishing touches to it. This was the idea I had when I designed this lamp made up

of interlocking polypropylene modules, creating a complete unit which can be manipulated by the user. It is a different

approach to the concept of lighting in the existing marketplace; its ease of

manipulation allows the user to adapt it to any environment.

It was on show in Sol de Nit, a popular bar in the Gracia district of Barcelona. The project was designed to be mass

produced, either by laser or stamp cutting. This results in an average production cost

of 5-10 € / unit.
