work the second shift (3 PM to 11PM), 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, Office Clerk B. This person must be a citizen of the United States of America, at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver’s license; be a graduate of an accredited high school or present evidence of successfully passing a GED test; be of good appearance and personality and have a good past work record. Duties will include answering the telephone; using the fax machine; assist the public in taking complaints and information; make copies of various reports per request; receipt and log payments of parking tickets; update and file arrest records; type and file accident reports, case and incident reports. Maintain all office forms and supplies; maintain and file all protective orders; maintain and file all warrants; maintain and file all gun permits and maintain all files in the computer. The following skills are required: ability to communicate with the public in situations which are highly emotional or hostile. Must have a working knowledge of business, educational, civic and social organizations in the community; a working knowledge of basic computer skills; be able to perform basic typing functions. This person will need the ability to understand & use basic filing systems, a working knowledge of multi-line phone system and intercom, as well as a working knowledge of fax and copy machines.
