U.S. economy is still the best in the world

Our economy added: 353,000 jobs in November, 2014 252,000 jobs in December, 2014

Economists predict a strong 2015

Jobless rate plunged to 5.6 percent, its lowest since July 2008

FUTURE TRENDS

FINANCIALLY End of Fiscal Year 2014, USPS

operating revenue was $67.8 billion

The integrated financial plan for 2015 is: $69.6 billion

This growth is attributed to 13.1% volume growth in shipping and packages

Standard Mail slight volume growth of 1.3%

The trend in First-Class Mail decline continues

OPERATIONALLY Since 2006, the USPS has cut

352 million work hours

The 2015 financial plan calls for another reduction of 5 million work hours

The challenge continues to increase in delivery points with declining mail volume
