Intercede with Us for the Muslim World! All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations (Psalm 22:27-28). Today's Prayer Requests: From Students, Alumni, and Missionaries BURKINA FASO, CHAD, NIGER: An alumnus, serving as a representative of the alliance of evangelical churches of Niger, has been attending an USAID-sponsored conference in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The conference, for both Muslim and Christian leaders from these three countries, addresses the issue of preventing young people being lured into terrorism, through avoiding violent discourse, encouraging peaceful coexistence, and providing jobs. Please pray that as these leaders, Muslim and Christian alike, reflect on this issue, they would recognize that only a spiritual solution will be effective. Pray that the Holy Spirit would turn their thoughts to God's solution—Jesus. SENSITIVE COUNTRY: Workers here have had to take extra precautions this week as they were made aware of threats against them. Please pray the Lord would give them wisdom and guide each step, and use this seeming setback to stir the hearts of those who are watching their lives. TOGO: An alumnus working in the north asks for prayer to obtain land for a church. He explains that they have offered the landowner a deposit of 2.5 million Fcfa, with the balance to follow. However, the landowner will not sign a contract with them, because Muslims can offer 6 million Fcfa immediately. Pray that the Lord would intervene and touch the hearts of those who seek to prevent the sale of the land to the church. Pray also for peace in Togo as elections are held this Saturday, and for peace in the ensuing days as results are announced. In the News Continue to pray for Irano-American pastor Saeed Abedini, held in prison for his faith. He is still being refused needed medical treatment, and suffers pressure from prison officials. His wife says, "They continually threaten Saeed that the only key to his freedom is denying Christ and returning to Islam. Saeed refuses to deny Christ and continues to be a light and witness in that dark prison. These threats, coupled with the fact that there have been mass executions ...in Rajayee Shahr prison, have really taken their toll on Saeed. He asks for prayer for continued strength." From Global Initiative* Pray for the 408,000 Kotokoli people in Central Togo, West Africa. 89 percent are Muslim. Pray for the efforts of Assemblies of God pastors, evangelists, and churches to reach them. Many have heard the gospel, but fear of their families and communities makes it difficult for them to make a commitment. Intercede for those who are questioning and seeking, and for those whom God is using to teach and encourage them. For Muslim Women** Please pray for a ministry in Madrid, Spain, as their spring semester of outreach through ESL classes, Spanish classes and children’s programs comes to an end. Pray that their community of 30,000+ Muslims will recognized their impact and be drawn to the love of Christ.
