3rd Sunday of Pascha - The Myrrh-Bearing Women Acts 6:1-7 Mark 15:43-16:9

Troparion (Tone 2) When You went down to death, O Life Immortal, You struck Hades dead with the blazing light of Your divinity. When You raised the dead from the nether world, all the powers of heaven cried out: “O Giver of life, Christ our God, glory be to You!”

Troparion (Tone 2) The noble Joseph took down Your most pure body from the tree. He wrapped it with a clean shroud and aromatic spices and placed it in a new tomb. But on the third day You arose, O Lord, granting the world Your great mercy.

Kondakion (Tone 2) Glory be … You commanded the myrrh-bearers to rejoice, O Christ God, and ended the grief of our mother Eve by Your Resurrection. You ordered the apostles to proclaim to all: “The Savior is risen from the tomb.”

Easter Dinner - Our Annual Easter Dinner will be next Sunday. Please br ing a des-sert. Birthday Sunday - Birthday Sunday will be on May 21st. Weekday Liturgy - Weekday Liturgy will be on Tuesdays at 6:30PM Weekly Exercise - Tai Chi exercise will be Thursdays at 6:30 to 7:30PM. Weekly Collection - The collection for April 23, 2017 - $295.00. Thank you for your generous support of the church. The Prayer of the Church - from Christ Our Pascha “In many and various ways” (Heb 1:1) the unseen God revealed himself to humankind through the words of divinely chosen persons and through creation. “In these last days he has spoken to us by a Son” (Heb1:2), who is his incarnate Word. As for creation, the world was created good (see Gn 1:1), and therefore is a means of our communication with God. However, this world needs the human person as it eagerly awaits the revelation of the children of God (see Rom 8:19,22), through whom all creation is able to fulfill completely its purpose. (#341)
