God longs to pour out His favor and blessing on you. He longs to show you His goodness and provision.

He promises to do His part, but you have to do your part, too. You have to be diligent. First of all, be

diligent in seeking His ways and following His com-mands. Then, be diligent with what you have in your

hand, with your time and resources.

In Matthew, Jesus tells a parable about three men whose employer entrusted them with some money called talents. Two of the men were diligent and

invested the talents and received a great return. The third man was afraid and buried what he was given.

The first two men were rewarded and praised for their diligence while the third man was rebuked.

Follow the example of the first two men and look for ways to be diligent with what you have in your hand. Whatever you do, do it with excellence. Be

the best you can be and go the extra mile even when you think it goes unnoticed. Understand that when people don’t notice, God notices and promises to

reward the appetite of the diligent.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY Heavenly Father, thank You for Your favor and

blessing on my life. Today I choose to be diligent. I choose to live in excellence and do everything to the best of my ability. I give You all the glory in Jesus’

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Everyone goes through seasons of waiting. A lot of times, people just sit back and wait for God to do

everything. But, you have to remember to do your part and make preparations. You have to talk like it’s going

to happen and act like it’s going to happen. Some people might say, “Well, Joel, what if I do this and it doesn’t

happen?” But I say what if you do and it does happen? And even if things don’t turn out the way you had

hoped, you’d still be better off living your life positive and hopeful than you would to go around down and

discouraged.

I love what David said in the Bible, “God, my times are in Your hands.” He was saying, “God, I don’t know when it’s going to happen, but I know You know what’s best for me.” I’m going to go out today expecting good things. And even if it doesn’t happen, I’m not going to

go to bed all disappointed. I’m going to go to bed know-ing that I’m one day closer to seeing my dreams and

desires come to pass!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY Father in heaven, I dedicate this day to You. Show me how to prepare for You to move in my life. Help me

never going to break that addiction. But I want to tell you today, it doesn’t matter how long

you’ve been in those circumstances, God can change things in an instant! In a split second of

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria All throughout scripture, God has promised

to be your Protector, Defender, your Strength, your Shelter and so much more. Even when the storms of life come against you, as long as you are dwelling in Him, you dwell in safety and

trust — nothing can take away your peace and joy. What does it mean to dwell in Him? One of

the definitions of the word “dwell” means to keep your attention directed toward something. The more you keep your attention directed toward

God, the more you will know Him, and the more confidence you will have in Him. When you

focus your heart and mind on the Word of God and declare His promises over your life, you are

dwelling in Him. When you lift your voice in worship and give Him glory and honor, you are

dwelling in Him. When you spend time meditat-ing on Him and connecting with Him through

prayer, you are dwelling in Him.

Are you facing a difficult situation? Give your at-tention to the Father. Do you need His peace and protection? Focus your heart and mind on Him. As you dwell on Him, you will see His goodness, and you’ll live in peace and victory all the days of

Family/Extended Family, greetings to all!

How many times have you been in a similar situation? Four young men among others during their lifetime by force of enemies taken to a foreign country. A na-tion that did not live under the principles of God and yet Daniel and his companions chose to live a well bal-anced spiritual diet, and in doing so found favor even with their enemies. I called my mom and asked her what ingredients are used to make white flour torti-llas, here is what she said, “white flour, salt, baking powder, shortening , and water.” Trust me they are good, same in our relationship with God it takes what Daniel and many others we read about in the scrip-tures the ingredients of prayer, reading God’s word, time alone in worship and coming together in fellow-ship with the local Christian church. Living focused daily in Christ does not mean you will not face hard-ships, it only means you will not face them alone, for

he Jesus promised to be with us to the end.

You have heard the phrase ‘you are what you eat’, well seems to be true an individual that is disciplined in maintaining a well balanced and nutritious diet in most cases is healthier than individuals that does the opposite. As a young boy I was raised in the country, my dad spent a lot of years farming in the part of Texas where corn, tomato, bell peppers, as well as other veg-etables and fruits were grown. So in what I best recall we had easy access to some of these foods, could not get them any fresher anywhere else, probably hand picked straight from the fields to our kitchen. I want to share a few words on how the phrase ‘you are what you eat’ is also true in an individuals relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Their is a story about a man named Daniel who maintained a well balanced spiri-

tual diet, the results produced good news.

In the Old Testament of the Holy Bible it reads the following in Daniel 1:1-7 “1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. 2 And the Lord delivered Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, along with some of the articles from the temple of God. These he carried off to the temple of his god in Babylonia and put in the treasure house of his god. 3 Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, chief of his court officials, to bring in some of the Israelites from the royal family and the nobility-- 4 young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing apti-tude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and litera-ture of the Babylonians. 5 The king assigned them a daily amount of food and wine from the king’s table. They were to be trained for three years, and after that they were to enter the king’s service. 6 Among these were some from Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. 7 The chief official gave them new names: to Daniel, the name Belteshazzar; to Hana-niah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.” This event occurred in a time known as the “History of the Hebrew Commonwealth”, in the year 607 b.c; and in the 368th year after the revolt of the ten tribes. According to the writings of 2 Kings and 2 Chronicles of the Old Testament during these times as we read Jehoiakim was placed on the throne. In his third year of reign the enemy ‘Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it’
