The goal of the Man O’ War Golf Junior Program is to create a fun learning environment for junior
golfers of all skill levels. Our instructors are trained to evaluate the talent level of each individual to
maximize their learning experience. We strive to create not only golf’s next superstars, but junior golf-
ers who can grow up enjoying this great game. Our program strives to create a fun environment that
emphasizes athletic development, as well as a focus on all aspects of the game, including full swing,
pitching, chipping, putting, the rules of golf, and course etiquette.

Mission Statement
Parent’s Guide to Junior Golf
Every golfer who has children has envi-
sioned their child as the next “Tiger” like
phenomenon. The desire to see your
child succeed in a sport you love can put
goose bumps on the back of your neck.
The problem with this vision is that most
parents have no idea how to get their kids
to LOVE golf first! For their child to be
as great as the superstars they watch on
Sunday, they must LOVE to play the
game of golf and everything that comes
with it! We have developed your Parent’s Guide
to Junior Golf so you will know exactly
how to get your child to love golf. Follow
these simple principles and you will de-
velop a playing partner for life!
Gavin Burns Assistant Director of Junior Golf
Coaching Program
The Year-Round Coaching Program focuses on purposeful practice/training, mental training, and other
areas to ready junior golfers for high school and collegiate play. The Coaching Program is designed
for like-minded athletes who want to reach higher levels of competition. This program uses a Player
Pathway system designed to track progress and motivate junior golfers. It includes weekly practices,
half-price off on range buckets during the session, and an option to participate in tournaments held by
Man O’ War Golf. Players must be at least 7 years old and have their own clubs.

NEW to Man O’ War this year we will be offering an Advanced Level of Coaching Program. This pro-
gram is for the Junior Golfers, who are already competing in tournament golf. In this level we will fo-
cus more on course management, tournament preparation, specialty shots as well as skill enhancement
drills and instruction. We will also use more advanced technology (K-Vest/SAM Putt Lab/BodiTrak,
etc.), that we have at our facility to further develop the student. The goal with our Coaching Program
has always been to prepare our students for competitive golf, and this will take a more in-depth ap-
proach to development and on-course play. Brad Bachand, voted by his peers multiple times as Golf
Digests #1 Teacher in the state and Kentucky Section Teacher of the year , will be heavily involved in
the practices for this class, to provide helpful insight and knowledge from his 27 years of teaching ex-
perience.
