In its pursuit of academic excellence, Jordan Univer-sity of Science & Technology (JUST) believes in competitive performance with leading academic institu-tions all across the world. Out of this conviction, JUST continues to push forward to be one of the top 500 universities worldwide across all disciplines.

Queen Raniarecalled His Majesty the Late King Hussein’s words praising the uni-versity and its achieve-ments.

On the road towardsa world-class university…

It is with such great pride and honor, that Jordan University of Science and Technology, as per the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranking system, has already achieved the 362 position on the world stage of academic institutions in the fields of engineering and technology. This would not have been possible without the relentless

Prof. Abdallah I. Husein MalkawiPresident

In pursuit of excellence and worldwide competitive-ness, the school of engineering succeeded in secur-ing ABET’s accreditation for the Chemical, Biomedi-cal and Industrial engineering program offerings. A major milestone in this endeavor was the creation of a nanotechnology center, which, we hope, would constitute a nucleus for a national center for research and development in the diverse areas of nanoscience and technology. Another important step was the establishment of a Center of Excellence for Innovative projects; a center that received the support and backing of His Majesty since its early inception. JUST is also host to world-class research centers, namely Princess Haya Biotechnology Center and the Pharmaceutical Research Center. Finally, noteworthy of mentioning that JUST is home to the King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH); a medical facility that is one of a kind Middle-East wide offering a bed capacity of 683. Achieving a world-class stature is not just about new policies and administrative regulations; it is about everything that can translate the aspirations and ambitions of every Jordanian to move forward on a path that would ultimately transform the country’s economy into a knowledge-based economy.

efforts of JUST faculty members, administration and managerial staffs; dwelling on the persistence of JUST’s quality assurance center commensurate with the guidelines set forth by the QS association. Along these lines, JUST has successfully received the univer-sal ISO certification on Total Quality Management (TQM).
