Eligible Applicants:• Qualified government agencies and non-

governmental organizations are eligible and invited to submit application specific to the allowable funding described in the RFA.

Submission Requirement:• JGA will not accept more than one proposal per

applicant

Office of Justice Programs (OJP)Federal Funding Streams

• Title II Formula Grant Program (OJJDP)– focused on improving juvenile justice by increasing

availability and types of prevention and intervention programs and juvenile justice system improvements.

• Justice Assistance Grant Program(JAG) (BJA)– focused on providing support to law enforcement,

prosecution, and the courts; prevention and education; corrections/community corrections; drug treatment and enforcement; planning, evaluation and technology improvement; and crime victim/witness initiatives.

JGA Consolidated RFAEdward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance

Grant(JAG)• Eligible Program Areas:

Adult re-entry to support workforce development-adult education and literacy readiness linked to technology-based testing options.-Job readiness/Employment with skills necessary to compete in specific labor market (VA, DC, MD).-Gender specific reentry services (priority for CTF)Capacity building services (limited to program evaluation) - Evaluation of OVS/JGA FY 16 grant funded programs- Must have experience with evaluating multi-disciplinary

programs

JGA Consolidated RFA Title II Formula Grants

• Eligible Program Areas:– Early Intervention and prevention initiatives that address truancy, and

treatment of trauma, mental health, and substance abuse that is integrated into juvenile prevention, intervention and response programs.

– Support the Juvenile Justice System Improvements to address Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC) and Compliance Monitoring.

Juvenile Justice Systems Improvements include programs, research, and other initiatives that examine issues or improve practices, policies, or procedures on a system-wide basis.

Victims of Crime Act -VOCA Purpose: to provide victim assistance services such as

crisis intervention, counseling, emergency transportation to court, temporary housing and criminal justice support and advocacy.

Eligible Applicants: organizations must be operated by a public or 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and provide services to crime victims.

Eligible Program Areas: • Victims of Sexual Assault• Victims of Domestic Violence• Victims of Child Abuse• Under-Served Populations

STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program

Purpose: The STOP Program supports efforts to develop and strengthen effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies to combat violent crimes against women and to develop and strengthen victim services in such cases.

Eligible Applicants: • State and Local Courts • Law Enforcement• Prosecutors• Nonprofit, nongovernmental victims services orgs.

Locally-Appropriated Funds (LOCAL)

Purpose:• To meet the needs of crime victims and/or to

engage the community regarding the social problems related to crime and prevent crime through primary prevention and outreach strategies.

• To encourage strong team collaborations serving victim services and the development of a continuum of care.
