Kama’aina Kids has partnered with a grant from Belxcel, community businesses and private donors to provide an evidence-based distance learning program for your child at all Summer Day Camps. While some online distance learning has been implemented for some middle and high schools, many elementary schools may be left out. Parents and family members are also relied upon to help with in home instruction as well as the need for internet and devices. Kama’aina Kids is addressing the needs of our Keiki in the new environment by developing a program to keep the curious minds of our keiki alive. Kama’aina Kids Distance Learning, provides access to online instructors and technology to the students. We want to help the students be prepared to meet and exceed school expectations. As a community, it is our responsibility to grow and succeed together. Students will experience- • Curriculum designed by Scholastics • Social-Emotional and Wellness • On site use of technology & devices • Qualified teachers & instructors • Virtual field trips from around the world • Worksheets and workbooks • No homework • FUN!!! Timeline: July 1-2: Online pre assessment on site July 6-29: One 45 min class a day. Rotating schedule of Math, English Language Arts, Enrichment, & virtual field trips.
